TLDR: paid $200 for this. Not the quality work I expect from the price. Try somewhere else. My sons 1yr old iPad 9th generation accidentally had a 15 pound dumbbell fall from a short height onto the screen (<6in) and it cracked in 2 places. Thankfully because the height was short there was no pixel damage, the screen had normal responsiveness, and otherwise the iPad appeared to function normally. I work long hours so had the iPad at home for 4 days prior to bringing it to Techy, June 26. Bringing it in they told me it would be 189.99 for the screen repair and with taxes that came out to just above $200. I probably should have walked away at this point but hindsight is 20/20 and they said it would be done within a day or 2 and i was going on vacation the following week so just wanted the work done. Plus on Google reviews they had a 5 star rating with a decent number of reviews so I decided to go through with the work. So they called me and said it was done the same day i brought it in. Unfortunately I was already at work so came to pick it up the next day (Day 2). They said during their testing that the screen kept turning on and off (this didn’t happen before I brought it in and like I mentioned I had it for 4 days broken before bringing it in) so they would need another day to fix the problem. No problem. Thankfully I live close by. They call later that day and say it’s done. Again I’m at work so have to wait until the next day. Next day (Day 3) comes and I get a call that it isn’t charging so they need another day. Next day (Day 4, June 30) comes and this is what I pick up. Mind you there was never any crack or damage to the button. I wish I had taken a picture of what the broken screen looked like prior but unfortunately I didnt. When questioning them about it they said they had to reseat the button multiple times and this is unfortunately the best they could do. The button is loose in the seating plus a visible gap so I’m sure all kinds of dust and debris will get inside. Also the previous button has Touch ID capabilities and this new one does not. The worst part is that there is a warranty on the screen if it stops working but I asked about if the button is covered under the warranty and it of course isn’t. I also noticed some small cracks that look to be under the new screen. They don’t seem to impact the functionality of the screen and is just more a cosmetic defect so im not as worried about that. Plus if the screen stops functioning due to a tech issue that’s at least covered. I’m devastated. I expected much better quality work for $200. I feel like I got scammed. The one good point is all the staff was very nice and professional. The visible appearance of the shop is nice and clean. I want to clarify I am not unhappy with the time it took for them to do the work just the overall quality of work and price together. I have no problem if you need extra time to do good work. Update: July 27th the button has completely stopped working. So less than a month. I also have noticed that I’ve had issues accessing my sons Apple ID which has me very concerned and this wasn’t a problem prior. I don’t even want to take it back to have them potentially ruin it more so here I am with a broken iPad out $200 with a potential security issue.

We had communicated via email and phone calls both, we will send screenshots to your email. ] ^^^^^^ Yes, I consented to send out my computer when I was told it was going to be a while due to the tech being on vacation. However, it was me calling asking for updates and me emailing. You guys never emailed me until I messaged you through your website late August saying, "Hello, I called the other day asking for updates on my computer. I left my computer with you all for a while and had not heard back so didnt know what was up. It appears I received a phone call back a few hours later but I must have missed it. " [If you were not ok with timeline and price, you could have informed us.] ^^^^^^ I should have been more clear that I was getting increasingly frustrated with what I felt like a lack of communication for an expensive item. I also had no idea what the partial charge was in the invoice for the diagnosis was. At the very least I should have been shared tracking information so I could know when to expect my computer instead of calling. [We do offer lifetime warranty for screen replacement, 6months warranty on battery replacement and 1 month warranty on board repairs, but there won’t be any warranty on liquid damages.] ^^^^^^ The invoice says liquid damage Treatment and Lifetime warranty, What does that mean? i was also never told there would be no warranty on liquid damages until after i paid. [We will be happy to replace Missing screws even if it’s more than a month or two after the repair.] ^^^^^^ What else was overlooked and missed in my repair? If i'm paying half a grand I expect all my screws back and not missing half of them with the other 3 poorly put in place. I can't tighten them myself because standard tools dont work on them so I had to go to another store to get them fixed. I shouldnt have to do that to begin with. ____________ Was initially upset due to pricing but partially my fault for forgetting they asked me for approval for a $500 bc it took so long to get it back. They don’t do email communication. Just phone calls. The manager said any future issues would not be covered under warranty and considered a new issue due to the fact my damage was caused by liquid. I was not told this prior but manager said I should’ve read the fine print on my receipt. Warranty on invoice says lifetime so don’t include that if that’s not the case. $50 shipping added bc the tech is based in Florida but he was on vacation so repair took longer. I also just realized my computer is missing 3 screws and the others are not tightly screwed on so I’m extremely upset for the amount I paid and time I waited.

I usually don’t write negative reviews but other customers that are in my predicament deserve to know the truth about this place. My fiancĂ© had some issues with his ps5 and we found this place on the internet which was an hour away but as everyone knows play stations are expensive so we wanted it fixed. Needless to say I wish we would’ve paid more attention to the negative reviews before making the drive here and home 6 times within a week and nothing on the ps5 was ever fixed/resolved. After driving there and home (an hour drive) 6 times within a week, we finally got frustrated that it was still doing the same thing which was the original problem and finally just asked for a refund for services. When my fiancĂ© called they said “yeah absolutely bring it back in, we’ll give you a refund”
 that was absolutely NOT the case. I took his ps5 in yesterday to show them it was not working properly and still had the same problem it originally had and the guy argued with me stating “they tested the console before it left” and insisted we had to do something to it in the midst of leaving there and getting home for it not to work
. Finally I had enough, told him we just wanted our money back and wanted to call it a day. We paid 129 dollars for nothing to be resolved and got the run around about that too
 the guy working there first said he did not have access to give me a refund and his manager couldn’t come in.. then it was i only have 100 dollars cash in my drawer so i wouldn’t have enough to refund you. Then it was i can give you 60 cash and mail you the rest. The manager(Swapna) he kept calling was extremely rude and not helpful at all. I am a manager myself and would never treat my customers the way she told this poor guy to treat me. After an hour of arguing back and forth to get my refund, I settled on 60 dollars cash and the rest being mailed. The guy working was very unaware of what to do in which he SHOULD not be working alone on a Saturday anyways. He couldn’t even give me a receipt stating that they were mailing the refund, he had to HANDWRITE IT!!! Moral of the story, if you have an issue with your console, phone, laptop whatever it may be. Do not go here because they will give you the run around and will take your money for not fixing a single thing. My fiancĂ© ended up buying a brand new ps5 and now we have one that is sitting in the box with no use because this place was so...
