McDonald's — Restaurant in Frederick

Not such a great visit today. Disappointing actually. Initially, when I placed our order, everything was fine....then our experience with downhill. We took the cleanest table we could....covered in ketchup fingerprints. I asked if someone could clean the tables z that ours was dirty. The employee started on the other side of the restaurant....so we changed tables. The manager (I assume, wearing a white button down shirt) placed a bag on the counter for our order number "order number xxx two large fries" (we had two large combo meals and two happy meals, and a pack of cookies). He then called the next order number "two cookies". I had realized after my first transaction that we needed additional cookies so I had placed a second order for a three pack of cookies.....not two, which was confirmed by my receipt. I called this to his attention. He said "that's someone else's order, took them and walked away.i was dumbfounded and speechless by the demeanor of this man I assumed was the manager. Finally, he brought the rest of our order (or so I thought). I showed him my receipt for the additional three pack of cookies and he said we will have to make more, we have one, not three. I told him "you took the two pack from me. I only need one more.". He said "oh, I owe you one.". He walked over to the cookies and acted as if he put a third in and gave me the package. I took our order to our table, stepping over spilled ketchup on the floor and started checking our order. Sure enough, one happy meal was missing a gogurt and we had no milks for the happy meals. So I returned to the counter to retrieve the missing items. While I was waiting, I noticed how long the line was for orders and noone at the counter. A customer who had grown upset and had lost patience said "so is anyone taking orders today?" The man I still assumed to be the manager laughed and said "I'm trying to fill 17 other orders but I'll take yours now" with an attitude. I was shocked. I finally received our missing items and returned to our table. I then realized we were still short that one cookie I thought he had put I. The bag. I yet again went to the front counter amidst a growing crowd of customers and waited a good ten minutes with my receipt in hand, watching him walk by six or more times before he bothered to acknowledge my presence, then he finally said "oh....are you still waiting for that cookie?" I said yes, and as a fresh tray of cookies was brought up, I received the missing cookie.

I can understand one oversight, maybe two, but today was like stepping into the twilight zone. We had considered going to one of the other four McDonald's in town and in hindsight, we regretted our choice of going to this one. By the time everything in our order was correct, I sat down to a cold meal.

And not one single apology from any employee.

I doubt we return to this location and will absolutely be telling others about our experience. So...

😱😱😱BEWAREDO NOT EAT HERE! I have to say that this is the absolute worst restaurant/fast food experience I've ever had! I will never eat here, never ever bring my kids here...EVER! I ordered a classic chicken sandwich, lettuce only (no sauce no pickles). Places tend to mess up so I generally check at window before I pull off so I don't have to get back in line or get my kids out of car to go in. It had sauce on it and I politely asked the girl behind the window for one with lettuce only, no sauce or pickles. She brought it back and said, "here you go, classic chicken lettuce only no sauce!" Something in her tone wasn't quite right so I checked it again...either her or the cook had wiped the sauce off and gave me sandwich back! I was mortified! I can only imagine the morale of someone who would do that, they probably just used their hands, wiped it off and laughed, thinking...she'll never know, what's she gonna do? I parked, got my daughter out of her car seat, went inside, laid the sandwich out so manager Maria could see. She clearly saw that the sauce had been wiped and given back, apologized and said the cook wasn't supposed to do that, and asked me if I wanted anything else. I said I want my full refund, with tax, and that I don't want anything from this location ever again. The thought of someone back there with that level of character handling my food, as well of the girl at the window who clearly knew what happened as when I walked in with sandwich, she walked up with a smug grin on her face. Honestly, I don't know if Maria, the manager is to blame, as she chose to have those "kids" working during her shift. They should ABSOLUTELY be fired! Work in retail with that type of character, not food service where you're in control of people's food! Who knows what all they do to the food back there! What if I had an allergy to the pickles or sauce...then is it okay to smear the sauce off and give back with traces? If I order something, pay for it, I deserve to have it the way I ordered it, and if you mess up just make another one...don't punish the customer for requesting specifically what was ordered! I will never, ever, eat at this location again! Morale is too low, even for McDonald's associates! SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR CHILDREN'S HEALTH...AVOID THID LOCATION AT ALL COSTS! I wouldn't be surprised if they spat in it as well! There's actually another McDonald's a few blocks down...I'd go there over this one anyway after this...

Normally this is the McDonald's I go to since it's the closest to home. Normally it hasn't been bad. The orders are correct, and the manager (I'm assuming) is usually entertaining to talk to at the drive through speaker.

This last time though, he was not there. It seemed to be an entirely different group of people working. I went through the drive through and ordered the two cheeseburger meal and a milkshake for my daughter. The line moved at a decent speed, no complaints there.

I pulled into the parking lot across from McDonald's to get my daughter situated and to eat my food. I picked up my cheeseburger... It felt lighter than normal. Once I opened it, I found out why. There was no meat inside. My first thought was "oh well, people make mistakes. I don't really need both of them anyways". So I opened the other one, again, meatless.

I went back and went inside with both burgers. (Shouldn't say burger, more like bread with some ketchup, cheese, and a pickle slice). I asked the lady behind the counter if I could get new ones since these didn't come with meat. She said "Do you just want two new ones?". My reply "Yes..... But with meat". She turned around and yelled to the other employees "Dos cheeseburgers con carne". While I'm not fluent in Spanish, I picked up on the "Two cheeseburgers with meat".

That's when I stood there for another 13 minutes before I was handed any replacement burgers. While I was there, I had time to notice the sign at the register saying "Photo and video prohibited". After reading some other reviews... I guess I can see why they put the sign there. It's easier than addressing the problem to begin with.

I went back out to the car and was hit with the "why did it take you so long". Followed by the "this milkshake isn't the right flavor that you ordered". So, out of all the items I purchased. The medium fries and my soda were the two things that were correct.

I was unaware that I needed to specify that I wanted meat on my cheeseburger. I guess I know now... I may just drive a little further to another restaurant when I want something to...
