Ordered to go. Arrived when it was supposed to be ready and paid bill. Waitress from kitchen said the lost/misplaced the order. Waited 15 minutes. Food came out. Was missing 2 orders of okra, 3 apple butters and biscuits. Another waitress came out, stood in front of me and just stared at me for 8-10 seconds without saying anything word. I said "may I help you?" She said "someone needed help with to go order." Cashier spoke up and said that it was missing items. I told the waitress what was missing. She didn't say a word, turned and left. 15 minutes later a kitchen manager came out and gave me ONE okra. I told her I needed one more, 3 apple butters and biscuits. She didn't say a word, turned and left. Cashier saw my frustration so SHE went to kitchen and got the biscuits for me. Another 10 minutes went by. The second waitress came out with the last okra and 3 apple butters, sat them on the counter by my order, turned and left without saying a word. I said "thank you" loudly and sarcastically. The Cashier asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. I said "will it take another 30-40 minutes?" She said no, they'll come right out. One minute later a manager comes out and doesn't say a word but instead is reviewing my receipt. I asked "what is looking at my receipt going to accomplish?" He "apologizes" and says "what's tge issue?" He should have started with that. I proceed to tell him what transpired over the last 40 minutes. He responded with "well I'm the front line manager but I'll go to the kitchen and tell them what happened." So, the manager just tried passing the buck. Why didn't one of the kitchen managers come out? Just wasted more of my time. I told him to go to the back and tell them that they need to do a better job all the way around.
FYI, when I paid for the meal, which was IN tge system, I left a $5 tip. I know that the waitresses preparing the order normally get shafted and don't get a tip. However, working in the restaurant industry for a couple years myself, I know they deserve a tip. However, I wish I could have taken that tip back. Im not paying for to go orders until I have my complete order in hand.
We love our experiences when we dine in but the take out process is severely lacking in efficiency and customer service.
FYI, the gentleman waiting for his to go order before me was quite upset as well. Apparently he waiting a long time for his order and they forgot the biscuits and cornbread. The waitress said it would be a 30 minute wait. He did not wait, as he was walking out he said that he would not be returning to this restaurant.
If you made it this far, great. Live by this motto and everyone will be happy. "Be honest, do your job and do it Well." Dont just show up to work to collect a paycheck. Do...
Read moreWe had a party of six. Half of us wanted to eat here and the other have did not. Against half of our better judgement, we obliged and decided to eat here. We got there and walked up to the check in podium. Have our information and we got an estimated wait time of 25 minutes. We had no problem with that. Ten minutes into our 25 minute wait, we received a text stating our wait was increased by 10 minutes. Again, we had no problem with that. As the 35 minutes pass, we hear nothing else. Parties with similar or more members were called before us. Around the 45 minute mark we told the person at the podium how long we had been waiting and they told us we would be the next big party called. That was a lie. They kept calling more parties with similar or more members that arrived to the restaurant long after we did. At the one hour and ten minute mark, we were finally seated. Our table was still so we asked someone to come and clean the table for us. It took about 10 minutes after that for our server to finally come to our table. She came with an attitude, took our drink order and left. We sat there for another 10 minutes and our drinks were brought out. She takes our order and really wasn't helpful with what comes with the meals. She leaves for another 25 minutes. All of our drinks are gone. We see her go to other tables and lock eyes with us as she is going to other tables but she failed to come to our table. One of our party members calls her from across the area to refill our drinks. She does not come to our table. She screams back from across the area, "Refill all of them?" We say yes and she turns and heads to the kitchen. At this point we are very frustrated with this experience and her lack of service. We see a manager standing around the front of the kitchen so one of our party members goes to grab her and bring her to our table. We tell her we just want to pay for our drinks and leave. At this point we have been waiting 2 hours to eat and have not even received an apologetic sentiment as for how long we had to wait for our table or our server not coming to serve us. Worst experience of my life. I will never come back to a Cracker Barrel, especially this one,...
Read moreService for our group was outstanding!! Shout out to Chloe & Alexia you guys did amazing with a HORRIBLE kitchen staff and a weasel of a manager who wouldn't even come out and talk to us.
Our group of 17 went to celebrate a birthday tonight. We knew going it would be busy and hectic the night before Thanksgiving. Sadly after our experience we will likely never return to that location after tonight.
After ordering drinks and then food, the ladies were smart and split our table in half to divide and conquer, we waited 35-45 minutes for our first dinners to arrive. 8 meals came out, mostly cold and incorrectly cooked. After another 15-20 minutes another 6 more cold dinners arrived, one of which was the baby, who was way past dinner time. After another few minutes the final 3, of which one was the birthday girl, arrived again cold and over cooked.
The servers were very apologetic and even went to the manager to let him know what was going on. He told them to offer us dessert, but never came to our table.
Throughout the evening I observed him and his actions in the restaurant, he stood by the kitchen entrance and occasionally ran a pie or to go order to the front store/registers. Never helping the staff just standing there.
At the end of the night I requested to speak to him in the store. He told the server he was working on the line and didn't have time. At this point it was almost closing.
As a manager, if you had staff call out, not show up or just short staffed because of the holiday; Why weren't you on the line cooking when the big order came in? Why weren't you helping your kitchen staff? Better yet, aren't you the manager? YOU sir should have owned what happened and made apologies. YOU sir instead were a coward and hid in the kitchen because you watched what happened and allowed a horrible experience to happen.
Best of luck to you sir. I hope that the servers in your establishment only have to do their job moving forward and not yours.
Chloe and Alexia again you were amazing and did a wonderful job. Thank you for...
