Stopped here for an overnight on our way back to NJ. Having stayed at the Homewood Suites in Savannah we decided to give this one a try. First off, the location is great! It's in the heart of all shopping in Fredericksburg with conveneient restaurants everywhere and is located right next to the Fredericksburg Convention Center. We chose the check-in via the Hilton app and obtained our digital room key which was great. However, since we got in after 11pm we still had to check in at the front desk. Angelo, the front desk attendant, was extremely helpful and informative regarding breakfast, etc. He even provided us with bottled waters upon arrival which was very sweet considering the long drive we had. The room we got was a suite setup with a separate closed off bedroom and a living room/kitchen area combo. This was great as it allowed my husband and I to go watch the morning news while our daughter still slept. The shower was also awesome and it was a strong shower with excellent water pressure. The location of the room was great.....nice and quiet. But overall the location of the hotel is really quiet. I assume that many of the occupants at the hotel are corporate or military workers and are out the door before 9am (during the week) because when we checked out there was hardly anyone in the parking lot.|The only thing that wasn't great was that breakfast during the week is only until 9am (unlike other places that we've stayed). We did manage to grab some coffee from the front lobby (which wasn't much as it wasn't refilled) around 9:30am and grab some leftover muffins just to have something. But the bright side is that with checkout at noon we were able to take our time getting ready and it allowed our daughter to sleep in a bit. After check out we went to the Cracker Barrel for brunch (which is right within the adjacent shopping complex) before heading back on the road.....so it all worked out! |This is definitely a hotel that we have locked in as one of our favorites for future stops to and...
Read moreService make my whole family feel unwelcomed. However room and area is clean and nice. We stay here coz of home flooded and insurance ask where we like to pick to stay, we are the customer even tho this is an insurance arrangement, we are the one who paid for the insurance and now they are using our money to cover the cost of payment. First week our family of four stays here by the end of the staying it needs to be extended, so they trying to put four of us in a one bedroom tiny space saying oh we all booked can’t let u guys stay in the bigger room no more, manager pretending like he was not there refuse to come out and talk about this issue. Then finally a few hrs later he came out and said oh ok we will just not let others book this room u guys can stay put, this was because we said ok then if no room we will switch hotel. The second thing about this place their front desk employees never smiles and never say hi, when we ask for more room items they said they don’t have it tell us to ask the house cleaners. Where do we go find the cleaning people? Where are they? Isn’t that you job to ask what we need and you tell your coworkers to bring it to our room? I have never seen such service traveled half of the world. Then again comes to their dinner service, they offer lunch box to go, I ask for four boxes coz we have four people and I want to bring it all upstairs to share. I haven’t even start scooping the older gentleman who work at the kitchen comes to my face and said oh this is all we got will feed 100 people you can’t have it all now. Seriously? I said oh ok now you making men nervous so I then pack a few scoop then close the box. Makes customer very uncomfortable the way they watch you eat and how much you collect. Seriously if we dont already have so much house damage to deal with we will definitely switch hotel. I’m sure if you only stay a day or two it’s not big deal but we stay here for two weeks and more makes me sick. Definitely not gonna...
Read moreOverall, my actual stay was good. Front desk was very good. However not without incident. Virginia declared a State of Emergency. I was without power for 6 days. Very few hotels available so I originally booked through Expedia. Had to extend so I extended through the hotel. I told the manager that I was a disabled Veteran and asked if there were any discounted rooms. He said no and extended me the AARP rate, which lowered my bill to $180 per night (ridiculous for this type of hotel). I later found out there was a special offer for Veterans and their families available that would have reduced my bill by at least $40 per night. Management was gone. Called corporate (a sad experience). After I got Danisha to stop arguing with me and finally walked her through to the webpage where the offer was, she adjusted my rate for the next night I had left, but said the manager had to adjust the nights already spent 🤔. After inquiring as to why, the phone “hung up.” I called back and complained and they opened a case. Needless to say, I did not stay the extra night. After checking out of the hotel I left a VM message on his personal VM for manager. No return call. No follow up on case by anyone. In addition to that incident, the amount of snow and ice leading up to the hotel and in the parking lot was deplorable. Other businesses had their properties clear and safe. A shame because my stay was quiet and comfortable. Was just searching for a hotel in Seychelles. Found myself scrolling by Hilton without consideration. Second time I had trouble at a Hilton. First time was in Curaçao. Last time was this time😂Hilton: Please don’t bother posting that silly “I’m sorry you weren’t pleased with your stay. Please contact us……” You had...
