For starters I have patronized this business at their original location for 15 years and have regularly visited this location since they opened a couple years ago. We almost exclusively eat lunch here and it’s one of our regular Sunday lunch spots. Recently my wife and I went here at noon on a Sunday and ordered off the lunch menu like we usually do, menu open to the lunch page and we pointed to the items that we wanted to order. When we received our check the total was approximately $10 more than expected and we were told that we didn’t specify that we wanted the lunch portions so we were charged for the dinner portions. This has never happed to me before especially during “lunch” hours. The waiter never asked if we wanted lunch or dinner portions but just assumed that we wanted the substantially more expensive items. We asked for a manager and she sided with the waiter but eventually agreed to refund the difference for one of the items but not the other. I am very disappointed in the way this played out after supporting this business...
Read moreHad lunch here today with my brother. We were super excited when we heard they finally opened because they have been working on opening it since we moved to the area two years ago. We have tried literally every Mexican restaurant in the Fredericksburg area, and this new restaurant is by far the best. Price was very fair considering the portions. We tried the chicken empanadas, which brings 3, and my oh my , they were so crispy, but soft and moist at the same time. My brother got chicken and steak tacos and I got the shrimp Veracruz. I was blown away with the flavor the food had. The shrimp Veracruz plate had 14 large shrimps, which was impressive because most places give you like 6 small pieces for the same price this place did. We got a flan to go for later. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Currently they don’t have the bar open because they are waiting for permits but we are excited to try their drinks once they open. You have our business!! Thank you for bringing quality food...
Read moreWe arrived around noon on a Friday in February. It wasn’t too busy when we arrived but it picked up over the next hour. The waitress arrived promptly with chips, salsa and white sauce and took our drink orders. When she came back with the drinks, we placed our food order. We had the lunch menu Fajitas Texana and Enchilada Supreme. They were very flexible as far as making substitutions. The food arrived extremely quickly, and the serving size was generous. The Fajitas had chicken, steak and shrimp along with the usual peppers and onions. The shrimp were a nice size as were the strips of chicken and beef. It tasted good except some of the steak was very stringy. The ground beef and chicken enchiladas were both tasty. The ground beef actually looked and tasted like ground beef rather than a beef paste. Oh, and their salsa is really good! We would...
