What an awesome experience. The owner greeted & welcomed us. He told us about the different types of pizza & would create whatever we wanted within his means. We had a jalapeño popper stuffed crust, to die for. I could have just ate crust , but he offered home made ranch dressing to dip it end. Did I die & go to heaven, YUMMY 😋! Sorry, I saw a bunny, back on track. My other half is totally carnivore…”give me meat” type of person. So the owner suggested the “meat your maker” with my desired crust. OMG, absolutely DELICIOUS! The crust was perfect! Not all dough! The spices are perfect. Ate two pieces & totally happy! I have leftovers for tomorrow! I also found out the owner is a veteran! He protected the land that we have the freedom to live in. Thanks for your service & God bless! If you think 🤔 that was finding the treasure , partially correct. I live in Llano & he really made my week with what he told me next. If I order my pizza on Wednesday, before two pm , by phone, Greg, the owner, will deliver to Llano, @ the Llano Beer Company. The beer Company will give you a free pint of beer to complete meal, 😮 wow! Definitely worth it! Delicious pizza, perfect crust, & all the possible toppings. I can’t wait to try the endless possibilities. Being female, my taste change as frequently as the wind, & I know the possibilities are endless. Even the crust can be modified. Vegans can have the cauliflower crust, which I want to try. The crust we had or plain , ordinary crust. Endless possibilities & the owner will allow you to go wild...
Read moreIn my line of work, I travel all over the country. I have sampled all manner of foods and when it comes to the best pizza, you maybe thinking New York... Or Chicago... but take it from me, the best pizza you will find in this country comes from Texas! Fredericksburg Texas to be exact. You can tell that the Owner(Greg) and the General Manager(Thomas) have put a lot of time and effort into making a quality product that everyone needs to try if you are ever in the area. What is also amazing is the fact that not only can you order Take and Bake for your pleasure at a later time but they also cook their pizzas now. It is the best pizza of both worlds. I had the pleasure of sampling the Feel the Verne, which happens to be named after one of their customers who can't get enough of their amazing product. I ordered 2 of them, one on their traditional dough made in house and another on their Vegan Cauliflower crust, both of which were spectacular and I would love to share photos of the products fresh out of my oven, but they didn't last long. The moral of this story is, if you ever happen to be in wine country, stop in and grab a pizza. And if you are lucky enough to see Greg there, shake his hand, he is about to sell you a...
Read moreOne of my favorite parts of my job is that I often get to go to different parts of the state, and with that I get to try food all around Texas. When I finished with the work that brought me to Fredricksburg, I had a brief amount of time to get food before leaving and I chose EZ PZ Pizza.
As someone who worked in the pizza industry I'm picky, I know about how long it takes to make pizza, and so I went with this place. I immediately knew I was going to get Fredericksburg's Wurst Pizza, and my coworker got the Feel the Verne. Our guy in the picture made that sexy pizza 1/2 and 1/2 of our orders, and has something to be proud of.
I didn't know how all the ingredients traditionally associated with Wurst would do on a pizza, I could see the mustard being completely overwhelming and ruining it all. To my surprise they made it work and it was outstanding. I tried the Feel the Verne as well, expecting it to be a very good baseline for what you get here, seeing as at it's base it is a cheese and pepperoni pizza. It was exceptional and if their other pizzas are just as well made it's a 10/10 for me.
TLDR: Sauce, cheese, crust; all in the right amounts. Innovative and...
