I placed an online photo order for an 8x10 framed canvas and about 12 8x10 enlargements. When I walked up to the photo department I made eye contact with the employe, Tessa, and said “Howdy” as she was boxing up some photos. Tessa then said to me in a very rude tone, “You’re gonna have to wait as I’m busy..”. There was no one else in the photo department, just Tessa and I. So I waited while she finished boxing the photos. She was cold and unwelcoming when she asked for the name on my order. Tessa aggressively looked for my photos and the canvas I ordered then handed them to me and told me to go to the front cashiers as she “was busy trying to help another customer with their large photo order.” I turned around and there was a line at the front cashier so I asked, “Can’t I pay here? I’ve always paid for my photos here” (I had no other items in my possession only photos to pay for). Tessa replied again, No, I’m busy with another order.”
Never have I been treated SO rudely and I was in shock! As I waited in the line at the front cashier I kept replaying the incident in my head, it was unacceptable and I was going to request to speak to the manager.
Gary was the cashier at the front register. He was very kind, welcoming and customer focused. As he was finishing up with the person in front of me he said, “Hi! You can put your things here they look heavy.” I thanked him and asked what the name of the employee in photo was. He replied, “Oh I’m not positive, would you like me to call her up here?” I stated, “No, I wanted to talk to the manager about her.” Gary replied after looking again in the photo area, “That’s Tessa and she is an manager.” I let him know not to call her as I was going to write a review about her. Gary apologized and then continued with checking me out.
Gary is the type of employee you want representing your company. He asked if I was a Walgreens rewards member and let me know I had credit I could apply to my purchase. Gary was such a breath of fresh air, I am glad he was there to check me out as I was about to leave my order and walk out.
Then to top it all off, when I got home one of the 8x10 photos had my daughters head cut off!! The worst experience EVER at Walgreens photo department and from...
Read moreI am compelled to write a review due to a recent unsatisfactory experience at Walgreens, where I have been a loyal customer for 2.5 years, utilizing their services to deposit paper money into my Cash App account. Unfortunately, my encounter with a particular employee was disappointing. She displayed a discriminatory demeanor, seemingly judging me based on my appearance. While in line, I inquired about depositing $500 and was met with resistance, as she did not want to involve a manager. I attempted to contact the manager to report the incident, which could have been easily resolved by reviewing surveillance footage. However, the employee seemed more interested in expediting my departure from the line. In contrast, she warmly greeted a doctor and engaged in conversation, further highlighting the disparity in treatment. I would like to emphasize that my actions were within the bounds of the law, as I have a weekly upload limit of $7,000 and a daily limit of $500. The employee's inability to accommodate my request resulted in me only being able to deposit $300, leaving me $200 short. I hope that Walgreens acknowledges my loyalty and the poor treatment I received. I had complimented the employee on her glasses, but she responded with a snarky remark. I believe that Walgreens should strive to hire a more diverse staff and avoid employing individuals who discriminate against customers based on their appearance or uploading paper money. The employee's actions were unacceptable, and I was disappointed by the entire experience. Next time don’t judge a book by its cover Holly...
Read moreReally don't know where to start. While it's much better than their Kerrville counterpart, SOME of the employees could use some work. To start off, the elderly woman at the photo booth needs to take some sort of anxiety medication because she is loud and rude to both customers and other employees. The daytime front checker is not friendly at all and is very rude also. You can tell she doesn't want to help you. She rolls her eyes any time you ask her to do anything out of the ordinary. The lady in cosmetics however, is wonderful! Nothing but praises for her. She has never been anything but helpful to me. The pharmacy is generally wonderful to. They can be backed up at their busy times, but they are very friendly and willing to help. The store is much more organized...
