Sam's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Fredericksburg

I got delivery, so I have no idea about the atmosphere.

Service was faster than I was told it would be, which is always a bonus.

The food is amazing. It's like something I'd make at home but done better than I'm capable of. If you want a real meal and can afford to shell out about double what you'd pay at Burger King, go here. It's absolutely worth it!!! And I have it from a reliable source that when they don't have what they need, they'll make a grocery run for it. On my great grandparents' graves, that is the freshest salad I've ever had from a restaurant; and I still have perfectly good leftovers!

Oh!! And the fries can't be beat. I've had fries from many places, and these are the best. Sorry, Burger King.

Update: I finally got the chance to try the calamari. The best calamari I've ever had was street food in Little Italy in NYC, but Sam's beat that, too. What can't Sam's make better? I'm still working my way thru their menu to find out, but I have my doubts that Sam's can lose to anything I've had before. I've only had 2 pieces of my calamari so far, but still, it's perfectly made!!! I just couldn't wait to rave some more about Sam's.

Update 3: This time, I got the chicken salad sub, and even that was perfectly, and deliciously, made. According to my husband, there's nothing Sam's makes that isn't good. The chicken salad was not in any way dry, and that was the spots without lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo. So reasonably priced, too. Ima stop updating now, cause I'm gonna run out of room to type before too long, and I can't imagine having anything negative to say about Sam's, ever.

Though I will add in a review on the atmosphere just for the phone calls when I call in an order. Never are they rude and always answering with a smile...

First time patrons: In Fredericksburg visiting my sister over the March 2, 2018 weekend. A horribly cold and horrifically windy weekend. We enjoy Italian foods but did not feel like cooking. We did not want Papa John's, Pizza Hut, or Dominoes...We wanted to patronize locally owned restaurants that delivered. My sister's friend referred an Italian restaurant that we later learned was affected by the wind storm and had no power; they were closed. The second referral that was made was to Sam's Pizza & Subs. The first Sam's Pizza & Subs location that Google said was 1.9 miles away; however, this location did not deliver to our address. We called the next Sam's Pizza & Subs location that Google said was 2.0 miles away; this one did deliver to our address. Go figure. We ordered from the online menu. As promised, what we ordered was delivered on time and exactly as ordered. The meal was delicious. Before we order from this location again, we plan to visit the restaurant to order a sit down meal. We want to verify the comments made by other customers that rated you with 1 & 2 stars. We recently moved to the area. We really enjoyed the ordering experience of the meal that we ordered online. We would like to keep this food service location on our list of Top-10 carryout...

I placed an order to be delivered to my job (providing my work address and my work number). A hour went by and we still didn’t have our food. I called the store and the young lady named Amiah stated there was an hour and 15min wait (that was never told when I placed the order) but since it’s been an hour already; I assumed that the food would arrive any min. Not even 5 min later, Amiah calls (using the same number that I left for her) stating the driver already dropped it off & left it at the front desk (mind you we don’t have a front desk, we are in a suite). She then said the driver tried to call me (how did he try to call, because I left the business number and she was able to get through). She said the food was upstairs (as if I was going to get it after it has been the hands of someone else). After explaining that this is bad business, Amiah states, “would you like a refund?” Not even attempting to make the situation better. When I asked to speak to a manger, I was told, “he’s not here and will not be for at least 2hrs.” I order from Sams frequently (at another location) and was the worst customer service I have experienced from here. I don’t think I would order again, just because the first thing that was offered was refund; no attempt or offer...
