Mrs. Mike's Potato Chips — Restaurant in Freeport

I ordered my usual batch of 10 bags before Christmas....they were the normal AWESOME.....then two weeks ago I ordered ANOTHER 10 bags and they ALL have a strange taste to them and I ended up doing something I have NEVER done to even a SINGLE Mrs Mikes Potato Chip in the 45 years I have been eating and loving them.., I ended up tossing out ALL TEN BAGS. Wasted almost $70.00 that time... I have been buying and loving them a LONG time, even when I was in Iraq in 2003 I had 5 bags shipped to me there. And even though the 130 degree heat melted all the grease off the chips to the bottom of the bag in a big ball.....I STILL ATE THEM ALL..YUMMY lol. But these ......sad to say were not good.....I thought maybe a change in recipe also.....WHAT HAPPENED??? I dont want to order another batch like THAT...

The best little chip store! Great for parties (get them by the box). Or indulge in their popcorn or pretzels! They have always been very friendly & courteous. Unfortunately, due to govt regulations, they had no choice but to change the way they made these once delicious chips. Oh they are still good, just in a dif way now. Hopefully over time they can find the right formula to get them back to that good “fried in total fat” goodness. It’s sad for the company that the govt stepped in to decide that real ingredients aren’t ‘healthy’ but more additives will be. As a loyal Mrs Mikes consumer, I’m hanging in there & hoping for better chips...

Best potato chips in the world as far as I’m concerned! They do what they do, and they do it well. If you have an event, or just want to eat yourself into a potato chip induced coma, you can go right to this location and buy a bulk box of them, right off the line. 5 stars isn’t enough for these folks- they’re one of the best things to come out...
