I would give zero stars to the Lindo theater if I could. My boys wanted to see the movie Purge: Election Year. They are 16 years old. My wife and I went with them, and bought tickets for them to see the movie. We bought tickets for my wife and I to see Independence Day. Soon after we sat down for Independence Day., and my boys were in the next theater to watch Purge, a Lindo theatre manager insisted that my boys could not watch Purge by themselves--we had to watch this pathetically stupid movie with them. The manager said it was their theater policy that 16 year olds cannot see an R rated movie by themselves. They forced my wife and I to sit with them to watch the idiotic Purge movie.
We have been loyal Lindo theater patrons for over ten years. I do not need some theater manager trying to help raise and parent my boys. If I permit them to see an "R" rated movie, that is my choice--I do not need a theater manager or owner of a theater trying to parent my children. My wife and I purposely did not want to see the Purge movie, as the first two were incredibly stupid and we knew the third installment would be too, and we were right. What difference does it make whether we are in the same theater with them, or we are 100 feet away?
The Lindo theater lost long time patrons tonight. We will NEVER give them any of our money again.
We already have the federal and state government trying to run every aspect of our lives. I do not need a theater manager and owner dictating how we raise our children.
Adios, Lindo theater. You screwed up big tonight. I will let everyone I know hear about their "nanny state" policy. Lindo Theater, YOU ARE...

I also had my older cousin with me thatās 21 and they told us we couldnāt get in cause she had to be 25 . Mind you we looked every thing up before we came ( we wanted to go see the red door ) which is PG-13 we had two 13 year olds with us and a ten year old and we couldnāt get in. Then after they did not let us in they asked us if we wanted to watch something else after we clearly wanted to see the red door (insidious). Wouldnāt recommend kids my age go alone cause they wonāt let you in š so yea never going here again. Then when I tried to see it myself they asked me a 16 year old for ID I knew right then and there I donāt need to come spend money or time with this establishment ever again. I donāt have a ID yet so I was very upset about this whole thing like why do I have to show you Iām 16 to watch a freaking Movie like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSaw the Maze Runner tonight with my nephews and there where a group of 9 young kids some had to be under 13 for sure. They where extremely disruptive the entire movie. The Lindo did have a man watch them in the beginning and verbally worn them several times to be quite about the middle of the movie. At this point they should not even have been allowed to stay. Well then you never saw the man again, but the movie was good and loud for some time. Towards the end when it was a bit more serious and quite it was all you could do to hear because they were a horrible distraction. When the movie was over and I had told them to shut up among other people and you come to the lobby to walk out and there are 5 to 6 people standing behind the corner talking to each other including the Assistant Manager. For $40b plus $10 for popcorn and soda very...
