Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Fremont

Waste of time and money....Ruined what was supposed to be a nice family get-together. Came in at 6:45 checked in for a table for 6 was told it would be 10 to 15 minutes only one group of 4 was ahead of us. Several groups raging from 2 to 5 people were sat before us. They had missed us on the list setting a group of 3 at a big booth that would of fit us all. At 7:30 was apologized to for the mix-up and asked if we'd be ok sitting at 2 tables right by each other just so we could get sat down. Was told they were close enough to talk to each other still. Get to the tables they aren't even directly across from each other. They were six feet minimum in a diagonal Direction away from each other. No one came to take our drink orders for another five to ten minutes. When we placed our orders the two of us at the further away table had our appetizers delivered to the other table where the waiter tossed them on the table and walked away as the rest of my family was trying to tell him they were to go to us. The two orders of french fries were half cold. One waiter was swearing at another employee using the f word about another groups order. To top it all off the two of us at the far table had the table from hell. The door for the to go orders was as close if not closer then the rest of our parties and at least ten times was opened and closed letting in the wonderful middle of winter in Nebraska cold air blow right on us and our...

My husband,9 year old son,and I arrived at Applebee's in Fremont around 630pm on Saturday night. There were quite a few people waiting to be sat so we opted to the open seating at the bar. The bar top was also completely full. The bartender asked us what we wanted to drink right away and brought our drinks. No menus. As we sat there patiently waiting she never came back. At this time I caught the attention of what I assume is the manager and asked for menus. When he started to get them for us the bartender barked at him that she got it and threw three adult menus at us. No kids menu. We again waited for sometime for her to take our order. My husband and I both got the new special all you can eat shrimp. Our food arrived fairly quickly and it was very good. However our bartender/waitress never came back. My drink was completely empty and we both wanted another round of all you can eat . My husband finally caught the attention of a hostess and asked if he could get us another round. When he went to tell the bartnende she barked at at him that she got. Clearly she did not have it. It was the worst service we have ever received. Why is there only one bartender on a busy Saturday night when she also has to be a waitress. ?And why did the manager not doing anything to help her but take a few drinks out. After being sat at a table, the server asked for our drink order, returned with the drinks, and we had still not been given menus. After a little bit, he returned with the menus. We ordered, and while waiting for our food, I observed several employees complaining about customers the loudest and most obvious was a heavier set waitress with short hair wearing two small pony tails atop her head.

After our food finally was brought to the table, I noticed the bun of my burger looked deflated and was very hot to the touch. The contents of the burger were Luke warm (including the rubbery lettuce). My wife’s fries were cold, but her shrimp was hot.. so who knows what was cooked to order and what was placed under a heat lamp.

While dining, our server never came over to ask if he could help, had he done so, he would have noticed the empty drink on the table, and we would have asked for napkins- which were never given to us.

I understand our server, Dylan, was also tending the bar, so I can’t be upset with him. However, the restaurant was not very busy, and appeared to be heavily staffed.

All in all, the worst experience I’ve ever had at an Applebee’s. We will not be returning to the Fremont,...
