I was here on two occasions, one for my birthday my friends took me here and second for an open mic event. It's a Starbucks concept where you order at the kiosk and then wait for them to call you with the order being ready. You can take a seat if you're planning to sit and eat there. It's a self-service concept and you are served in use and throw containers and cups. I wished it was different but I guess less work and less resources to clean the dishes. They have a variety of chai and you can get confused if you don't read and understand the details in each one. I have tried their ginger tea (it's very sweet so you need to tell them), Zafrani chai liked it, Desi kahwa felt good and Kashmiri pink chai shai special which I enjoyed, but again it depends on your taste as what you prefer. I remember my friend asking for cold coffee which initially they said they don't have and friends said let's go somewhere else and the lady came and said actually we are making it so that was kinda surprising. We ordered a buttery samosa sandwich - this was different and kinda enjoyed but make sure you don't keep it too long or else it will become soggy, kanda poha ( which was more of a Rajasthani style), samosa chaat was delicious, and sev puri dahi puri tasted good too the only complaint was that it's filled with yogurt and the puri starts breaking and get soggy due to yogurt filled in. The interiors are good with some special corners with a sofa and some high chairs, and they do have outside seating as well. It's a small place but can get really busy at night when people just walk in to try their chai and bites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can feel the vibe that they are still new and working out to be better at everything that they have to offer. I will recommend this for sure as in Fremont this is a cool place to go if you're catching up with your...
Read moreToday I finally made up my mind to try this place. Since itâs too hot I went inside to have their Chocolate milk. It was really good, for the price $3 excluding taxes and the quantity. Itâs good, I liked it. I even saw they donât accept cash. They actually have a wide variety of food here for breakfast (like samosa, kachori & pohas) and for snacking like chaat, Maggie and Pakoras. Almost made me remember India, how back there you can get all this. Unlike ready-to-make frozen chaats. Regarding customer service, I think they can do a lot with this since unlike other restaurants in Fremont they are more about âChai spotâ snacks and breakfast. Even when I went there I was inquisitive to know more about their drinks and things they offer, but I didnât get the vibe so should definitely work on that since they curated such a beautiful cafe like place. They have an indoor sitting area mainly if youâre there around afternoons. And for evenings specially during fall and early December I think since they have music there also itâll be ideal to sit outdoor.
Regarding prices, since I havenât tasted anything I canât comment on it since the taste is directly proportional to the price but I think you should give this a try also their prices are reasonable, give it a try.
Honestly, I have expectations from this place. They can do a lot better, they just have to engage with customers and work on customer service since they put in so much into creating this place. Also, itâs in the heart of Fremont hub, they can bring out so much from this.
Offer to your customers whatâs best you serve, I found that missing when I was so willing.
Also, they are closed on mondays. And they offer catering options for private parties &...
Read moreChai Shai is a delightful new chai spot in Fremont Hub, offering an excellent experience for anyone craving authentic Indian chai and traditional snacks. The chai here is incredibly flavorfulâwhether you're in the mood for ginger chai, kadai chai, or masala chai, they have them ready to go. Other types of chai on the menu are freshly made to order, ensuring a perfect cup every time.
The snack selection is a treat as well, with classics like samosas, kachodis, pohas, and Maggi to complement your drink. I also spotted Sabudana Khichdi on the menu, which Iâm definitely trying next time!
The ambiance is perfect for a casual hangout, making it a great spot for friends to meet up and enjoy some lively "gup shup." Plus, they offer a great variety of board games, which adds to the fun. The service was prompt and friendly, making the overall experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, Iâll definitely be back soon! It's a wonderful spot for both chai lovers and snack enthusiasts. Highly...
