Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Fremont

I wanted to share my experience with this location so maybe others will try a different place to have their ice cream cake made. It is my second time having issues with a custom cake, and now is my last because the cake has ruined my son's bday. I spoke to Naz, the cake decorator, to make sure the cake would be done correctly since when you order on the website, they do not allow enough characters to be specific enough. I told her on the phone what I wanted and to call me if there were any changes or questions; she did not call me even though when I picked up the cake, it had my son's age missing on top of the cake. When I called her from the parking lot, she gave me excuses, saying we spoke on the phone, and I told her we did. I also asked her if there were issues with the cake call, and she did not call me. Then she told me to hand the phone to one of her employees and said she was just a cake decorator, not trained. She did not call me and tell me the writing could not fit. Well, when you write in a large font, it will not fit; however, I did not get to change it because she did not call me and let me know. Then the cake tasted horrible. This review is not for the employees it's for the owner, if you don't know how to run a business you should not own it. The place is filthy specially where they make all the ice cream. The employees are burnt out. It took us over 35 minutes when there was only four people in front of us. They wear headphones while they're working and customers have to repeat themselves to get their point across. The biggest issue they have is the employees are not trained well so they are over making ice cream and are putting it in larger cups which of course forces the owner to raise menu prices as the profits are less. In front of me at least eight ice creams mermaid in a larger cup when the customer ordered small including ours. The employees cross-contaminate everything without changing gloves often enough. If you saw the long line and thought "it must be great", don't go there. We had friends saying the place was great, saw the long lines in many occasions and got tricked into trying. The lines are mostly due to inefficient service, with employees trying to do multiple things at the same time. The girls were crossing in front of each other and one ice cream almost ended up on the floor. At one point each one of 3 groups of customers had 1 ice cream each and were waiting for the rest of their orders, and none of the employees was mixing ice cream (not sure where they all went? Seemed like they were not organized at all). That cold stone where the ice cream is mixed with other stuff does not look like the most hygienic thing. The flavor was ok, but I had better, tastier ice cream elsewhere. The waffle was poor quality, definitely had better elsewhere. I don't think the price...
