Updated review after a recent visit : We finally got a chance to visit again and enjoy a variety of food. Started with Dahi Bhalla Chaat and refreshing Mojitos served in a very pretty manner. Liked both the mango and blueberry flavours. Check out the May Special Gobhi Onion Kulcha with Amritsari Chole. Awesome!! I loved their chole. Cooked delicious to the core. We also tried Indo-Chinese dish Schezwan noodles. It's very spicy but super tasty, so you can ask them to adjust the spice level before ordering. On their recommendation, we tried the signature dish which is a unique offering of seasonal vegetables cooked in coconut milk curry. It has mushrooms, so ask before you order and they can exclude an item you don't like. We had it with Garlic Naan. Ended the meal with chilled Rasmalai. I loved the variety of offerings, all vegetarian, under one roof. Must visit for Indian food lovers! Check out the complete video reel on my Instagram food page @veggie_central. Review from 2022: We visited just to check out the chaat items this time. Tried Paneer Pakora, Dahi Aloo Papdi chaat and Sev Puri for 2 of us. It was wo fulfilling that we decided to skip lunch and come back some other time to dry the vegetarian delicacies. I'm extremely happy with the preparation, quality and pricing. The fact that it is a vegetarian restaurant is quite assuring for me. We fear to eat in outlets that serve non-veg too, because you can't tell if they have mixed up anything. This is the safest bet. Keep it up folks!!

I had noticed Veg n Chaat had replaced the old Anand Bhavan at this location and from the outside looked very non-descript (if you discount the neon sign). But upon a recommendation we decided to try it out.. We were pleasantly surprised as soon as we got in - the inside had a very chic and nice ambiance (i was expecting the same setup as Anand Bhavan). The staff were all liveried and friendly. Place felt very welcoming. I saw the menu it was almost the same as Chaat Bhavan (very popular restaurant within a mile) and asked if this place was an extension of that restaurant - but it wasn't, was told it's a totally different place. All the menu items were similar though (maybe a chef moved over from there). This is a pure vegetarian place - and had a good selection of items to choose. The food arrived fast. The food itself was excellent. Every item we ordered from chaat to entrees were very tasty and perfectly done. The drinks - Faluda, chaas and chai - all hit the mark. Overall loved the place and the food and will visit again. Highly recommend this place for vegetarian north indian food!

I recently ordered from Veg N Chaat in Fremont and tried a few dishes — Paneer Tikka Masala, Misal Pav, and Gobhi Paratha. Unfortunately, the food turned out to be quite average overall. The Misal Pav was disappointing. Misal is usually known for its bold flavors and spice, but this version lacked that punch and tasted very plain. The pav (bread) also didn’t feel fresh, which made the dish even less enjoyable. The Paneer Tikka Masala was extremely buttery, to the point where the richness completely overshadowed the actual taste of the paneer and spices. Instead of being flavorful and balanced, it felt overly heavy after just a few bites. The Gobhi Paratha was okay, but again, nothing memorable. It seemed like it was prepared in a hurry and didn’t carry the freshness or depth of taste you’d expect from a good paratha. Overall, my order felt very average and not something I’d be excited to reorder. Fremont has plenty of good Indian food spots, and compared to them, this was underwhelming in both flavor and quality.

I have liked the food of this restaurant and especially the Paneer Tikka Masala.

I had placed a catering order for a party at my house, after talking to their manager, at the restaurant.

All items of the order were clearly listed on the order and I was issued an invoice which also confirmed the same.

Food was supposed to be ready by 6 pm on the day of pick up. However, when the time came to pick up the order at 7 pm (1 hour after the scheduled time of pick up), it was discovered that Sambhar wasn't even prepared. Restaurant made us wait for another 30 mins before it was ready. Unfortunately, Sambhar was not even tasting like a Sambhar.

Sadly, this was just the beginning as subsequently, we discovered that Paneer Tikka Masala curry (the very reason for me to place the order) wasn't even edible, because, it was stale by the time we got it. We ended up throwing all of it in trash.

Vada Pav was tasty but we discovered that more than half of them had no chutney in them.

Dal Makhani was missing the butter and it tasted very plain.

Parathas were good but they weren't even cut in smaller pieces.

All this led to a very disappointing experience for guests at my party because most of the food wasn't good.

I called back the manager, next day who promised to call me back after checking with his team but I didn't hear back from him and I never got any voice mail, as well.

I am shocked by poor customer service and even poorer food preparation.

I will never again order anything from...

For the past three years, our family has been regulars at Veg and Chat Cuisine, drawn in by the promise of tasty and unique dishes. However, our latest experience left us feeling quite disappointed as we noticed a noticeable drop in quality and flavor.

One of our all-time favorites, the Szechwan fried rice, seemed to have lost its magic touch. Instead of the perfect balance of flavors we were used to, it was overwhelmed by an excessive amount of chili powder, overshadowing the signature Szechwan sauce.

While the pavbhaji still managed to hold its own and satisfy our taste buds, the Malai Kofta and paneer tikka masala, though decent, didn't quite hit the mark as they used to. Despite requesting a moderate level of spiciness, they turned out to be a bit too hot for our kids.

And then there was our beloved Maharashtrian dessert, shrikhand. To our dismay, it had lost its thick and creamy texture, now disappointingly runny. When we asked the server about it, they jokingly blamed it on the hot weather outside, even though the restaurant was comfortably cool.

While we're not discouraging others from giving Veg and Chat Cuisine a try, we felt it important to share our feedback in the hopes that the management will take steps to bring back the quality and satisfaction we once enjoyed. Despite this setback, we're willing to give them another chance, hoping to rekindle the delightful dining experiences we've...
