When looking up "food near me" this place popped up. The reviews seemed okay, but the pictures of the food are what sold me. As soon as we arrived we were deflated to see it was a Subway-like experience where you choose your entree, your type of meat, sauce etcetera.
The food was SO GOOD! I did encounter a few grains of rice that were not fully cooked, but no biggie.
The soda and condiment station had sodas to choose from, horchata, lemonade and a few other choices. They even had syrups for you to customize your drinks. The napkins and utensils were of excellent quality and they had various hot sauces to choose from. (oddly enough, the knife did not fit through fork while cutting? 🙃)
All of the employees we encountered were very nice, pleasant and none seemed to be disgruntled in any way shape or form.
I'm glad we gave this place a shot. We will definitely...
Read moreFood was cold (ordered a burrito). They put a lot less meat in their burritos than other locations. In store orders are very slow. They will make half the family wait while they take care of call in orders. I have had the same experience multiple times.
Tried this store again and it has not improved. Prices have gone up and why do they ask for the type of meat?? It doesn't matter because you will not get enough of it to fill you up. This time even the salad had about 50% of the lettuce that it should have had. $15.00 for a half salad. crazy...
After trying another location and receiving a good meal I tried this location again and it is still below the Cafe Rio brand normal. It is more expensive than other locations and portions are maybe 60% of what you would get a...
Read moreThis is another pseudo-Mexican, walk through newer style-buffet restaurant. They’re everywhere. No servers, just a kid behind the glass asking what type of meat you want, guacamole or pico etc. the food is not bad. It’s not a good taco truck. It’s not actually what I would call Mexican. The portions are large. The salads are thrown into a large flour tortilla sitting inside an aluminum tin that gets covered with a hard plastic cover. (All the food is served in the tin).Annoyingly large torn lettuce that has to be cut by you. Staff must think that every customer’s mouth is the size of a horse. It just screams, “ I don’t care about preparation or presentation of food”. It’s prepared in such a rush to feed the masses. Oh well. At least the ice for drinks is a soft...
