As I entered the establishment I was met with staring eyes and a check of the clock from employees as if I was not welcome. I had ordered online so I sat and waited by the online order boxes. I noticed the same employee, I did not get his name, wiping his nose and face with his hand. I then witnessed the employee reach into a box of gloves with the same hand and grab two gloves and stuff the remaining gloves back in. This is a food and safety hazard so I discretely brought it to the employees attention, again I was met with the same unwelcoming attitude. Not only unwelcoming but he was upset at the fact that I brought it to his attention. I wasn’t asking for an apology I was just simply trying to make sure this employee is handling food safely and hopefully all of the employees do. I then sat back down and waited for my online order which was already completed but sitting in the back and not in the designated online order box. This would not be a problem if someone had greeted me or asked me if I needed anything when I walked in. I sat there for a total of 15 minutes. The employee with the black gauge earrings then asked me if I had an order, I said yes online order he handed me my food from the back where it had been sitting for a good 5 minutes. I then proceeded to leave the restaurant with the employee who didn’t wash his hands staring at me saying things under his breath and the other two employees staring at me. I said thanks for washing your hands and left the establishment.
The food is good here but now have distaste with this store in fig garden simply for being treated like I was doing something wrong. Making sure my food that I’m going to consume is going to be handled properly is important to me. It should be to your...
Read moreWe spent over $72 tonight on dinner for our family ordering through GrubHub. We ordered two additional salad dressings for two salads had no problem paying extra for this & waited quite some time for the order then it arrives with not one salad dressing for either salad in the order and we had none at home so we were stuck with two completely dry salads and zero dressing. We called &!spoke with Nicholas we believed was a manager Who basically said my bad you can come and get dressings but we are busy. The most disappointing customer service response you can tell a customer. Unfortunately,, we will not be returning, the sandwiches were very good but spending that kind of money and not even receiving the dressings and having a manager saying my bad who apparently did not appear very sympathetic to their mistake. Very poorly handled, it’s pathetic that someone cannot read a receipt and simply place the items in the bag that the customer paid extra to receive and their responses are my bad. Customer...
Read moreMe and some friends biked here from the excellent bike shop just down the street, Tower Velo! The sandwich was darn good, and the service was very friendly. The place was well lit, cozy, and smelled very nice indeed.
There were quite a few people there that look like they were regulars of the place, and besides sandwiches, they have a lot of cooking supplies, uncooked pastry, and very tasty looking condiments for sale. For some people, it could replace a grocery store!
We each got a different sandwich, and they have many many options. They all looked mouth-watering!
The seating outside is comfortable, and you get to watch The whole main drag of the tower district pass by. What's even better is, there's a bike lock rack directly outside of the shop! It's very bike friendly. We got four adult sized bikes on! (Keep in mind it wasn't easy, but we're very skilled at what we do 🤪)
Chris, the owner and main operator of Tower Velo, says it's his...
