Fresno Donut House — Restaurant in Fresno

This morning, it was cold and windy. I was cold when I got to the donut shop. I was just trying to get warm before I ordered. The server came out immediately and, after one look at me, I was told that I should make myself comfortable and thaw out, and when I was ready to order, they would make sure to be available. It was kinda like she was reading my mind. She was at the counter at the same time as me. Now, this doesn't sound like a lot. But if you have been in the food industry before, you know that there is always stuff to do that really can't wait. It shows that the costumers are very welcome and important to them. I was impressed by this. I worked in that industry for many years and know how hard it is to do that. I will be returning there in the future and would recommend that you try it for yourself. Service is very hard to find in most cases. This place is one of the exceptions to this. Most places, when they see a person who is just standing in their dining area, will ask you to leave the premises. The server saw that I was cold and didn't know that I was going to order anything. Went there today. Decent selection of donuts. I was surprised to see that they had a croissant with ham and cheese inside. I decided on a cake donut, the crumb one. It was really soft and actually not as messy as I thought it would be. I will say though, two slip ups today. The cashier short changed me by a couple of bucks. I caught him and he fixed his mistake. I also noticed there was a funky smell when I first walked in but that could've easily come from one of the few men sitting down inside reading newspapers.

First, if you are a regular patron (one or more visits each 2 weeks) then you can look forward to a warm personal greeting during subsequent visits.
