Deli Delicious #12 - Shields & Hwy 41 & Blackstone — Restaurant in Fresno

I love Deli Delicious, but this one has cheated me each of the few times I went. I believe in second (and even third chances) and they blew it. You pay Deli Delicious prices for Subway style sandwiches. Don’t get me wrong, Subway is good too but when I go to Subway, I know what I’m paying and I know what I’m getting. When I go here, I know what I’m paying and I know I ain’t really gettin what I paid for. If you must though, just don’t order bacon because it’s possibly the greatest single addition to any type of meal you can serve between two slices of bread. This is why you don’t order it here...

Imagine you had a small breakfast (if that)... your stomachs grumbling, you’re starting to get annoyed over anything/everything/nothing, and when it comes to food, (almost) everything sounds amazing. You order a sandwich, or burger or taco or burrito or whatever with the little bit of money you can scrounge up which is just enough for that one entree. You get ready to eat and you see you got a free size upgrade or there is an extra item you didn’t order and didn’t pay for, but enjoy, like fries or chips & salsa or they added bacon. Most people, though not all, would love that!

Now, imagine just the opposite...you order a sandwich with bacon, take a bite and then find out there’s either NO bacon or MAYBE (at most) 2 little a$$ McDonald’s sized strips on a $12 sandwich and your “large” is half the normal size. I know other’s have had this same issue. It’s not...

I'd give this place a zero but, I had to at least put something to post about the place. My Mom and I walked in there and the owner accidentally made two sandwiches and got upset with the customer before us. They lady said no I said one sanwich..and the owner rolled her eyes and argued with her her. When it was our turn to order the owner took my my moms order and my mom told her what she wanted in her sandwich. She looked irritated with with my mom and said in a very rude tone " just tell me what you don't want in your sanwich" so then I looked at my Mom and I said "see I don't know why you wanted to come here they are always so rude, they lady looked at me me like she didn't know what was going on. I looked right at her and I said you're mean, youre a really mean and rude person to your customers...so we walked out. Beware of the...

It is currently 111° outside and to avoid heating up my own kitchen, I decided to make my first visit to the Shields Deli Delicious. Never again will I spend my money at an establishment that remains open and requires an employee to remain and work in UNBEARABLE conditions. The soda/ice machine was overheated.and inoperable, 2/3 of the menu screens were blank, and it had to have been over 100° inside. I felt SO BAD even ordering, and people did walk in and out as I was standing there and I should have done the same. Shout out to the sweet guy who made my sandwich in spite of his own misery, and who was probably afraid to prioritize his own health by closing and going home for fear of the consequences.
