I placed an order on the app for pickup thru drive thru at about 2:07pm. There was a line of about 5 cars total, 3 in front of myself. When I came to the order speaker box, I told the employee my name. The first employee asked me to wait while he checked on my order. A second employee came on out of nowhere and asked me to come inside for door dash orders. I told them I was not door dash. He then said I need to come inside for all online orders. As I waited (still by the speaker box) (still two cars in front of me), the second employee said, you need to come inside for your order. I then told them that I was stuck in the drive thru line and was not going to leave my car in the drive thru lane. (The other employee laughed out loud as I'm giving the PG version of my conversation here) I asked at the window as to why I had to come inside? I placed my order over 10-15 minutes ago. They said it was due to low number of staff. I then asked them why I had to come inside again. They then responded "due to the drive thru time". So you're telling me, in this COVID era, when I don't want to come inside, you are forcing me to come inside? Because of drive thru time?! Why couldn't they just make my order then when I gave them my name? I ended up waiting in the drive thru line for 5+ minutes, then went inside and waited another 10+mins? While customers who came behind me were getting their orders and leaving before me. While I was there, I observed 4 of the 5 employees with their masks below their noses, that is including the manager, a lady in a blue top. And no hair nets. I saw at least two female employees with their hair in a bun and one of the male employee with his hair in a bun as well. Another employee stated they were going to have another car park, then the manager says "No, we're not parking any cars!" So why did I have to get out of my car again? By the way, I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, and received a regular one. The soda machine was apparently down, so I asked for a side of fries, and it was tossed as loose fries in with my sandwich in the bag. The chicken strips were cold and the sandwich was barely warm. Considering how long I had to wait, and what seemed like they had just started on my order as I stood there and watched them, the food should be hot. I'm not sure why I didn't just didn't ask for a refund once I saw the inappropriate masks. Not going to support this...
Read moreToday is Thanksgiving day, and everything was great until I ordered some foods from this Popeye restaurant. I ordered a family meal from home and when I got there about 25mins later, I went to the drive thru and they couldn’t find my order after asking for my name several times so I decided to go inside and show them my order on my phone thru their app and the receipts on my email.
I didn’t think much about it walking in. After waiting for a fews mins in line since there was some customers waiting too, I told the cashier that I was in the drive thru and they said they couldn’t find my order.
A African American Female employee walk toward me with a bag of foods and told me to stop expecting to places an order one minutes ago and expecting it to be ready a minute later. (With a very bad attitude and very unprofessional). I nicely told her that I ordered about 25mins ago from home and got arrived to pick up my foods only. But she ignored me and said “Good day” in a very rude and disrespectful way.( while everyone in the restaurant look at me like I did something wrong).
I was so lost and confused by this. I took out my phone to show her my receipt and the app showing my name and the time I placed the order and she didn’t even bother to look at me or my phone and walk away telling me “Good day, you can go now”. I nicely told her that I don’t want the foods anymore and want my refund, she replied; “contact the online support” in a very rude and unprofessional way again. Then I asked to speak to a manager and she said “I’m the manager”. I told her you have a very bad customer service and attitude for no reason and the issue with you not finding my order is not my fault. She continue her back to me and say “I told you already, good day”. Still in shock and confused, I just walked out and contacted support on my app. Let’s see if they will do anything about it. Be careful everyone, some people don’t deserve to be a manager or in charge. I feel sorry for the employees that work under her, if she is...

This was the most interesting and longest waiting experience at a fast food which took 60 minutes to get my prepaid order using their app in advance.
After waiting in the drive thru 20 minutes, the manger asked us to park and promised to bring my order out. After about another 20 minutes I noticed the hard-working female employees having a feud with their manager about me still waiting for my food while dozens of cars passed through the drive thru with no issue. Ten minutes later 2 female employees come out ranting on their phones about the manger because he still hadn’t given us our order. One of the females walked to our car and apologized for their disorganized manager and promised extra food. About 3 minutes later the same manger came out an apologized, throwing one of his employees under the bus. He promised extra food for our wait. About another 7 minutes went by and they brought out my 10-piece meal. It was nice knowing the female employees had my back and were going to report their manager or walk off the job.
I was visiting at the Best Western next door for two nights so this isn’t reflective of my home store in Merced. Never thought my order would cause a huge employee uproar but I was happy to finally have my food after an hour. I never complained but I was...
