I've been twice. First time I got a fresh juice. Second time the meat lovers omelet and a smoothie.
I'll offer my opinion then some constructive criticism that I think will benefit their business.
Overall I would rate my experience with the food as a 3 star "average". Omelet was better than average for a meat lovers omelet with lots of meat.
The smoothie is fair, but I guess my tasted buds are acquainted with Agave as a sweetener. The lady serving me was very kind and you can tell wants to make her customers happy.
Constructive Criticism; Smoothie: I would recommend (if the owners haven't already) going to each juice/smoothie bar in Fresno and seeing how they do things. Raw Earth juicers is the only other juice bar/smoothie shop I've been to. If the Waffle Shop took notes from them on how they do things I think it would benefit them. -large straws (like boco pop straws) -the smoothie I got from the waffle shop is a bit watery, so maybe more frozon fruits veggies? I'm not quite sure. The thickness and mouth feel isn't quite as enjoyable as RE. -sweetner options. Instead of each smoothie being sweetened with something specifically, having options in the menu for people to choose how they want the smoothie sweetened would be cool.
Create a unicorn: this suggestion isn't for the general public but the owner. I went to a restaurant in Sacremento called Skips Kitchen. They use a deck of cards to place orders. The fan them out face down. You choose a card, and if you get a joker the ticket is on the house. They said each day about a total of 4 people choose the joker.
If you guys can create a fun engaging game for people with the possibility of getting something for free It will create loyalty and a uniqueness no other restaurant has. You can use ChatGPT to help you explore ideas to make the customer experience a Unicorn.
The restaurant business is hard. I know you guys will do well. Keep your heads up. I'll be back to try another juice or...

Hands down, BatterUp Pancakes is the best breakfast place in town & we should have never deviated from it. The reviews already had me feeling a way & then the lady looking baffled when placing our order on the handheld device confirmed my weariness.
Atmosphere - whatever. Service - our waitress played the blame game on everyone else BUT herself. An older gentleman who wasn't even our waiter repeatedly checked in on us, conversed with us & even tried to remedy the situation by giving my daughter a few of their baked goods. To the older gentleman that loves skulls, had glasses (I believe), Hispanic & was there on Sunday, September 8th at noon, we wished you were our waiter!
Food - I forgot what my husband ordered but they forgot his toast. My daughter ordered an Oreo waffle. I ordered a double chocolate chip waffle without powdered sugar & the chocolate syrup. The older Hispanic lady (9/8/24 at noon) brought ME my daughter's Oreo waffle without the powdered sugar & syrup. I gave it to my daughter & the lady said, "Since you're giving that to her, yours is going to look different." HOW?! There was clearly an Oreo cookie on it. My waffle arrived loaded with chocolate chips just dumped on top - the menu says "baked in" so that's what my expectation was & what I wanted. I told the lady when we she came to check up on us & she blamed the kitchen. I did end up getting the waffle I ordered & it was fine. My daughter didn't like hers. Something is amiss with the staff but even if it got better, we won't be back. Oh, & the total bill was $90. So...
Read moreThis location is not a reflection of the other Waffle Shops I have been to and enjoyed, and maybe they were just having a bad morning at this location. This was my first time to this location so it's all I have to rate it on........ From where my table was I could see into the kitchen and proceeded to watch one of the cooks only wearing one glove while working, while the other cooks had on two. This cook while wearing the same glove wiped counters, handled the broom stick and swept. Then proceeded to use that glove hand to handle plates and utensils while using his bare hand to take the waffles off the grill and put them on the plates. I watched all this for at least 20mins, and he never changed the glove or washed his hand(s) between activities. And while all this was happening another staff memeber was constantly yelling loudly at the busboy to clean tables faster, even though he was the only one doing tables for the whole place during a busy morning. And then when my food finally came my gf's omelette was cool to the touch and the cheese wasn't melted. They poured strawberries out of a jar onto my waffle, that had already been handled with a bare hand, causing it to be the consistency of bread sitting in water. So needless to say we did not eat our food and left. I try very hard to not leave bad reviews because I believe a business is trying their best and bad reviews can hurt a families well being, but what I saw that morning...
