Shortstop Fridley — Restaurant in Fridley

I have lived down the road for 5 years and started coming here 3 years ago for breakfast. I absolutely LOVE their cheesy hash browns. However, Every.Single.Time I go, the service here just SUUUCKS. I've never had such slow servers at such consistency anywhere else. I have had good service here ONE time, and I'm sure it was because she overhead me telling my friend the place has good breakfast but terrible service. She was also new, and I never saw her again after that one time. They must not keep the good servers around? One lady I've had many times before I had last night again when we went there for dinner. I do not know her name, but she is shorter with brown hair. She did apologize for how slowly our food came out, saying everyone ordered at the same time, but the place was NOT busy. When she picked up my boyfriends empty plate I was just about finished with my food. Once I finished eating, my boyfriend asked if we should bet it would be over or under 10 min until we get our bill. It was 9 minutes until she brought the bill over, then another 14 more until she picked up our credit card off the table. I watched her the entire 14 minutes we waited for her to return for our payment. She was DOING NOTHING. I literally called her sloth to my boyfriend multiple times. I had to look away when she started walking toward our table because my face would have displayed the utter disgust I was feeling at how un-attentive she was our entire time there. I told my boyfriend to reflect that in her tip, and I used to be server, so I always tip more than 20%. I had to go wait in the car for him while he paid because I was too annoyed. He said he gave her 10%. I don't even feel bad, she works at about 10% speed. Unfortunately she isn't the only server with this problem at this place. I can appreciate a local, friendly bar with laid back atmosphere. But I cannot appreciate going somewhere to eat that shouldn't take more than 45 minutes tops to get in and out. No good reason for us being there for just under 2 hours. I ordered an appetizer, he ordered a wrap. These are not high-end time consuming meals to prepare or eat. I'm going to make this place my last resort for food...

We had respectfully brought up the issues and they refused to make any amends.

The food was alright, but nothing worthy of note. My boyfriend (who is mostly a carnivore diet) order 2 burger patties and was told it would be ABOUT $4 per patty. When we got the bill he was instead charged $16 dollars FOR 2 PATTIES AND NO SIDES. Then when another member of the party wanted meatballs, we were told there were none and offered steak or chicken (with NO mention of an upcharge).

When we RESPECTFULLY brought up these discrepancies we were argued with. They refused to take anything off the burger patties or the added steak. And they absolutely refused to give us a discount on the total bill.

Maybe next time we will need to be extremely rude and mean in order to get any discounts for THEIR lack of communication about the pricing. Cuz apparently only people who act like that get anything done.

Go to Coon Rapids location - Wait staff is terrible. We live a few blocks from this one and having experienced the CR location and their delicious burgers figured we would give this location a shot, 2 times. 1st time the burgers were overcooked and rock hard. We decided it might be a fluke and tried again. The waitress decided our order of 4 meals was best not written down, which yielded the incorrect burger. She then took my entire plate (one would think she would leave the tots or something) and then returned less than 4 minutes later with the corrected burger and the same tots, which were now cold. I could tell they scraped off the previous food, maybe washed it down, and then added what I actually ordered. The Burger was once again overcooked, somewhat warm, and nowhere near good.
