We were very excited to try this place out, but were sadly disappointed.
THE GOOD:
The staff was great. The waitress and manager we talked to were very attentive, polite, and understanding. The manager comped our meal. Credit where credit is due.
Now for THE BAD:
We walked in and selected our table, all the chairs were dirty.
Sat down, I see more dirt/food on the ground and several crickets/bugs as well.
Kid's burger comes out looking medium rare (asked them to make a new one) and the accompanying fries tasted like they were microwaved.
Chicken salad sandwich had HAIR in it. Not okay.
Sante Fe salad wasn't awful, but certainly subpar. Something you would expect from a Sonic or McDonald's. Very bland.
Horrible acoustics, very noisy in there.
I can see the patios being a decent spot to grab a drink, but we won't be coming back. This is FRISCO. There are endless places to go spend your money when dining out and the competition/standards are very high.
I wish the owners and staff all the best, hopefully they take some of this feedback and work on improving things. Great...
Read moreMy wife and I met our friends at the new Barrel House in Frisco and we were very impressed with 1) Clean, open, well lit! 2) quality of food….especially for a big screens sports bar restaurant…..and our favorites were the Quesadillas, chicken and beef….both excellent, the 5 Star Carolina pulled pork sandwich was outstanding, and the Boneless chicken wings were great! For a busy dinner time, our servers were plentiful and on their game. Met the owner and the Manager…..both committed to making their new “Barrel House” 1 of our go to favorites. PS: this is the first Barrel House in Texas……and has 2 outdoor covered patios with large fan driven “misters” & that explains why some customers chose to eat outside on a 92 degree evening. All Texas restaurants with outside seating “should” have these but don’t……but this new to Texas owner knew it was very important with our long summers. Way to go! Michael &...
Read moreThe interior was nice and they have two patios one in front and back. The lower score was because of the blaring sound for the games on TV, you couldn't hear anyone and even the bathrooms had full blast speakers. The back patio needs more shade cover but overall nice view. The food quality is decent but overall on the bland side, the Nashville hot chicken had almost no spice and the steak quesadilla didn't come with salsa and was blah. Service was terrible overall as the food came out one plate at a time with 5-10 minutes between plates. Our friends finished eating before our food came out and the table that ordered after us got theirs before. The one positive is that the manager was proactive and comped our two meals without me having to complain. I have heard good things of the place but they need to polish their kitchen service a bit and fix their sound system for a...
