I’ve heard glowing reviews about First Watch so I went in with high hopes and high expectations. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who was able to put our name down very quickly and efficiently along with giving us an estimated wait. To our surprise, the wait wasn’t as long as estimated and we were able to seat our party of 5 pretty quickly. Once we entered the building the atmosphere was welcoming and positive. Once we were seated our waitress tended to us and we were given time to look at our menu. When the water cups came out, many of them were clearly dirty with food caked on and it almost looked like it wasn’t even washed. I’ve included a photo of one of the cups, but know that it was not the only one. Their menu is broad and serves all kinds of food, however the portions of all the different items such as the French toast was not listed. I ordered the tri fecta with an extra pancake. This included a pancake, two eggs, and a choice of meat. When the food came out, it was very clearly not two eggs and honestly hardly looked like one. Without the extra pancake, the plate was very underwhelming. Once we were finished we were given our checks which to our convenience could be paid online. My experience at this place was nowhere near terrible and I enjoyed the time with my party however the dirty/unwashed dishes and the very underwhelming portion sizes that were also sometimes unlisted, tarnished...

Today I went to First Watch with two of my girlfriends. As soon as we sat down, the waitress offered us water and coffee, then gave us the menu. Later we found out the coffee was $3.99 per person. Usually in restaurants they give the menu first and ask what drinks we want. The way they did it made me assume the coffee was free, like the water. I don’t mind paying $3.99, but I felt uncomfortable paying for something without knowing the price in advance.
Another issue was with the tipping. Our food total was $55.68, and we split the bill evenly. Each of us paid 18% tips for our part, but the system charged 18% of the whole bill three times. That was almost $20 more than what we should have paid. The server didn’t give us a receipt or ask if we wanted one. When one of my friends noticed the mistake, we went back and asked for the receipt. Right after handing us the receipt, the server walked into the back kitchen and didn’t return. After waiting a few minutes, we asked another server, and finally the manager came. The manager admitted it was a mistake and refunded us, so in the end we paid the correct amount.
What I want to say is: you need to be very careful about the drinks and the tips, especially if you are splitting the bill with friends. And for the restaurant, I hope this is not a...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at First Watch for breakfast in Frisco on Main Street, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy interior and friendly staff that made me feel right at home.
I ordered the Avocado Toast with an egg on top, and it was absolutely delicious. The avocado was perfectly ripe and spread over a thick slice of multigrain toast, topped with a perfectly cooked egg. The dish was light, yet satisfying, and the flavors were fresh and vibrant.
In addition to the food, the service was outstanding. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making sure that I had everything I needed throughout my meal. The coffee also deserves a mention - it was robust and flavorful, the perfect accompaniment to my breakfast.
