My name is Stormy Terry, and I am a frequent customer of your restaurant. I visit regularly, often spending a significant amount of money there—ordering tacos at least five times a week, sometimes twice a day, both in person and through DoorDash. I have always enjoyed your food and appreciated the service, which is why I am deeply disappointed to share my recent experience.
On Wednesday, I had a very upsetting encounter with a staff member named Ann. I ordered six street tacos, which are made with onions, cilantro, and shrimp. I always request extra seasoning, as I prefer my tacos flavorful and well-seasoned. When I arrived to pick up my order, Ann read the order back to me, and my wife kindly pointed out that the order was incorrect and requested it be remade.
Unfortunately, Ann responded dismissively, refusing to remake the tacos and stating there was no choice in the matter. She also insisted that the seasoning was sauce, which is not accurate, as street tacos do not contain sauce. Her attitude was unprofessional and rude throughout the interaction. She then went into the kitchen, over-seasoned the tacos to the point where they were no longer edible, and displayed a dismissive and disrespectful attitude. She even attempted to involve a police officer, which was completely unnecessary and unnecessary escalation over a simple order correction.
This experience was not only unprofessional but also unacceptable. I have never been treated with such disrespect at your establishment, and everyone who knows me can attest to my loyalty and regular patronage. Due to this incident, I felt compelled to stop visiting your Frisco location and instead visit the Plano location, which is quite far from my home, because I refuse to tolerate such disrespect.
I hope you will take this matter seriously and address it appropriately. I believe all customers deserve respectful treatment and proper service, regardless of the situation. I trust that measures will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Thank you for your time and understanding. I look forward to...
Read moreWe have been here many, many times and I think we are done. It’s a fun little neighborhood spot and I really want to love it but I just can’t. Here’s why:
The chips are NASTY. They are SO GREASY, cold, and have no flavor. It’s always a disappointment. They get scooped out of a plastic bin.
If you order any kind of dish with a tortilla, the tortillas are cold and bland. For example, I frequently order breakfast tacos. They don’t bother heating the tortillas. And today, even the eggs were cold. So it’s usually warmish food inside a cold/room temp tortilla. It’s just always a disappointment.
I don’t know what’s wrong with the soft drinks, but they always taste off and slightly flat. The styrofoam cups are an improvement over the flimsy paper cups, but the fountain drinks just aren’t good.
My order has been wrong at least 75% of the times I have been here. They always fix it with a smile, but geez.
One time when my order was wrong I was mistakenly given a cup of half black beans and half potatoes. This is the reason I keep going back. It’s delicious. However, every time I’ve been back since then and tried to order this same exact side dish that is an official side dish literally no one rings it up the same way. It takes forever for them to figure out how to enter it into the system. It’s just weird.
I will say the employees are usually very friendly and seem to want to do a good job. Also, the churro bites are DELISH. Overall, though,...
Read moreI literally live next door to "Taco Joint" Taco Joint has been open for approximately 2-3 months and I was interested to see if they were good or not. The reviews online are mixed. I decided to give them a shot and I regret it. I ordered the 3 ground sirloin taco combo. The ground beef in the tacos was very dry and lacked flavor, the shredded cheese looked like it was literally from a bag of shredded cheese (appears to not be shredded fresh). The "crispy taco shells are baked to a weird "standable" taco form and they are super wide. Way more lettuce and chopped tomatoes added than ground beef. When you eat the crispy taco, it cracks down the middle because of how wide they bake form the crispy taco shells. This is not good. The taco immediately breaks apart. We ordered two ground sirloin taco combos and they were both made this way. They also didn’t ask if I would rather have black beans instead of the refried beans with the side of rice. The yellow rice was very dry and clumpy (did not seem fresh). The only items that seemed fresh were the lettuce and tomatoes.
The salsa they offer (red/roja) is watered down - very bland. The green/tomatillo salsa is also bland but a little spicy.
I would say that Taco Bell has better tasting food and that says a lot. Torchys Tacos would probably be the best option if you want tacos via DoorDash.
I will not be ordering from Taco...
