We moved to Frisco 5 years ago. And in a month or so we went to this Chilis location and everything was perfect. As a family we made it our restaurant. We Dined there at least once every week sometimes even three times. Food was good, Service flawless. The place was always full and some days especially weekend, it would take even an hour to be seated but we didn"t mind. It was worth the wait. But a few month ago we started noticing some issues. Servers with attitude, sub-standard food and more. But we still gave the the benefit of doubt. It was our favorite restaurant. Well last Sunday, we had friends over and we decided to take them there. We were seated immediately as the place was deserted. But no one came to our table. 5 mins, 10 mins, 15 mins. I went to the front to ask if they were aware we were there. A server came and apologized and took our orders. Brought drinks we asked for straws...she disappeared for almost 30 mins. Came back apologized. OMG brought our food, it was the wrong order. Terrible service. Yesterday was fathers day my boys decided to take me out. We decided to give Chilis another chance. We were seated immediately. Very few people were there (on fathers day???) Anyway we had a great start. Served drinks on time. The server took our orders. 30 mins later.... expecting our food, the manager came. "We are sorry we don't have Ribeye, we forgot to take it from the freezer". Really??? You realized that after 30 minutes,????? Well we ordered sirloin. Sirloin was ok but the Broccoli tasted like uncooked bitter hubs. Asked for boxes for the left overs. Paying stations were down so he took my card.... He disappeared for another 15 mins...No boxes, No card. OMG i sent another waiter to get my card. I was soooooooo Mad when he came. I signed the check and left. I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO A...
Read moreWhen we walked in we stood at the hostess counter for several minutes till the very nice bartender notices no one had helped us and she came over to seat us. From there we had a few other issues and I'm not one to keep my mouth shut so I excused myself to the restroom to call the manager out. I did not want my date to get upset because I was not the one covering the check that night. I met with the Manger just to let him know what was going on when he was covering for a sick chef. I felt good and the manager was very nice and accommodating. What was amazing was when it came time for the bill and the waitress came out and said I don't know why but maybe my boss saw I was overwhelmed but he asked to cover ur check tonight. He didn't have to do that but to let his waitress save grace by not blaming her but building her up and she had a beautiful smile on her face to know her boss understood her and was taking care of our dinner so she didn't keep apologizing. Letting me save grace as well my date was truely astounded and started to cry and said that was a God thing and God new herb her finances where and that is not normal talk there either. And the smile I had across the table from me was amazing and this manager may or may not know how his graciousness touched two people so well, his employee and my date. So I have to tell this manager that he has something that is hard to find and everyone should give them their business. The food was great as well. I'm just sorry I did not get his name cause I just wanted him to be aware of things he might have missed. He didn't miss one thing, he nailed them all...
Read moreFood has never been the issue with Chili's. Staffing is what is causing people to go elsewhere. Placed and paid for 2 to go orders online. Carside delivery is advertised both on the site and at the location, but not an available option. Arrive to pick up my orders 2 minutes after it says they will be ready, and there is no food in the to go area and there is no staff in the to go area. Wen to the bar and made eye contact with the female bartender twice and two male servers - none of which acknowledged me - as a patron or someone just in the restaurant. The bartender walked pasr me twice, turning around to make a drink 2 feet away from me the second time. The wait staff both ducked back into the kitchen and did not return. After standing unacknowledged for 5 minutes I returned to the to go area where my order was still not complete & bagged (7 minutes after the "pick up by" time on a slow evening - maps indicated less busy than normal and there were only a handful of tables). Again saw one of the male waitstaff coming out of the kitchen(on his phone) towards the to go area, that immediately ducked back into the kitchen as soon as he saw me. 10 minutes after arriving, 12 minutes after the order should have been ready, I had my food in hand, tipped the to go person, because unlike the bartender and waitstaff, I am aware of proper restaurant etiquette. I honestly encourage anyone to avoid this location and instead go to one of the better staffed/trained locations nearby, or perhaps any of the superior restaurants or fast casual offerings in the...
