Great food and Great People - This is one of our go-to places for a quick family meal on the go. Everyone loves this place, its incredibly good. I don't know how they get their quesadillas just the perfect amount of crispy, but they do. and their fries and chips are stellar, maybe the best around, no joke. The seasoning they use is wonderful. My one and only complaint (and I get it, cheese is getting more and more expensive) is the amount of queso they give you in an order is hardly any at all. If I'm going to pay extra for queso, I want to get more than a 2 oz cup. Give me a small bowl or something. That is really knit picky though.
Now for the people. I don't know who was working the dinner shift on November 11, 2024, but that crew is awesome. My wife placed a to-go order, but placed it with the wrong "Dillas on 380" (there are two of them, one between Prosper and McKinney and one near Windsong). She realized her mistake when she tried to pick up our order, but the crew there made it really easy. They personally called the other Dillas, had them refund the order, and they made the order for her there in a couple minutes. Evidently it happens all the time, but still, top notch customer service. They didn't have to make it that easy, it was her fault, but they did. A+.
I also may be a little biased because the founders were at UT Austin about the same time I was. I didn't know them then, but wish I did. If you need an investor,...
Read moreI was really excited to try this place. It's in area on 380 with construction, but not end of world to get there, and construction has no entry in my review. I went in the evening. I used the app to order and picked up myself. Atmosphere looked great for eating in. And service crew, while all very young, seemed friendly enough. Unfortunately, the app does NOT have most of the options of in person ordering, and for me, was confusing. There are a gazillion ways to say what sauce you want or exempted or replaced, etc, but nothing to say you want "normal" bread/ tortillia- just "gluten free" or salad style with cheese and salad style without cheese. I wanted the cheese, so I got that, and of course it got served on lettuce! I tried three different styles, plus some nachos. Spent like $48-50, and for what I got, I found it to be borderline expensive (even if the order had been right). And with not even getting an actual "dilla"- only got some meat on lettuce- I was very disappointed. There are just too many restaurants around that I like and are better value, so I doubt I ever...
Read moreI should have looked at the reviews. I came excited, but the empty drive-thru line on a Friday night should’ve been my first clue.
The staff was friendly (except for the person taking the order, who spoke way too fast for a garbled speaker system).
Hatch Dilla: 2/5 Portion size was solid, but it was lukewarm—not hot—when I took a bite after pulling off. The quality of the ingredients was disappointing.
Beans: 1/5 The portion was tiny (same size as the dipping sauce cup) with a burnt taste that I couldn’t get past.
Guac Salsa: 2/5 Tasty but not enough to save the meal. Also, I learned at the window that they charge an extra $1.49 for certain dips—even though they’re listed as “sides” in the $4.29 meal option. Definitely not a good value for a $25 meal.
I added fries for $2, and honestly, they were the best part of the meal.
All in all, I won’t be rushing back...
