We had a very disappointing experience with this restaurant. We specifically ordered a full tray of fry piece biryani, but instead, we received a half tray of regular biryani. This was not only a mistake but a clear case of negligence.

When we contacted the restaurant to report the issue, we expected a simple apology and a resolution. Instead, we were met with rude and disrespectful behavior from both the staff and the manager, Mr. Ravi. They were arrogant, unapologetic, and completely unprofessional, especially in the way they spoke to the women in our group — with no courtesy or respect whatsoever.

To make matters worse, the manager threatened us, saying things like “You can’t do anything.” This kind of behavior is not only unacceptable but deeply concerning. No customer should be treated with such hostility when raising a genuine concern.

What should have been a smooth and respectful conversation turned into a stressful and upsetting experience. The complete lack of accountability, basic manners, and customer care was shocking.

We strongly urge the management to take this matter seriously and train their staff — especially Mr. Tirumala— on how to communicate professionally and respectfully. No customer deserves to be cheated, disrespected, or threatened.

This was truly one of the worst experiences we’ve had with a restaurant. We will not be ordering again, and we hope others take note of the kind of service being...

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Wrong Order, Rude Staff, and Threatening Behavior

We recently placed an order for a full tray of fry piece biryani, but to our shock, we received only a half tray of regular biryani. When we contacted the restaurant to report the issue, instead of resolving it politely, the staff and the manager (Mr. Tirumala) behaved in a completely unacceptable manner.

Not only did they refuse to acknowledge their mistake, but they were also rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional, especially towards the female members of our group. The manager, Tirumala, spoke in a very arrogant and aggressive tone, showing no sense of customer service or basic courtesy.

What made the situation even worse was that they threatened us, saying “you can’t do anything”, as if customers have no right to raise a genuine concern. This kind of intimidation and dismissive attitude is absolutely shocking and reflects very poorly on the restaurant’s management.

We did not expect such a horrible experience — from getting the wrong order to being treated with disrespect and threats. It completely ruined our occasion and left us feeling frustrated and helpless.

Customers deserve to be treated with respect and fairness, not arrogance and intimidation. If this is how complaints are handled, it raises serious concerns about how the restaurant values...

TLDR: Go here if you want good Indian street food. The chicken 65 biryani was terrible

The food was incredibly disappointing since I have been to other locations have had a good experience with them. Let’s start with the food

I got the dahi puri, vada pav, and chicken 65 byriani. The Vada pav was very good but it was a bit too sweet for my taste.

The dahi puri (on the second time) was alright. They are a bit bland and a little hard eat all in one bite.

Now unfortunately I had to send back the dahi puri the first time because the guy who made it just left it sitting there without calling our name. I had to go up and ask where it was after a considerable amount of time.

The chicken 65 biryani was atrocious. It was possibly the worst chicken Biryani I have ever put in my mouth. The rice had the flavor of crunchy water. The chicken piece was cooked well and tender but lacked flavor and spice even after maxing out on the spice scale (my white friend who was trying Indian food for first time said the same thing).

If you are okay with bland food and good ambience or you need Indian groceries, this would be a good spot to go to. Otherwise, it’s an utter waste of...

During my recent dining experience, I had the pleasure of enjoying a variety of dishes that left a lasting impression. The kheema biryani was flavorful and well-prepared, standing out as one of the highlights of the meal. It had just the right balance of spices and perfectly cooked rice, making it a delightful dish. The rumali roti was exceptional. Its thin, soft texture paired wonderfully with the curries, and it was a rare find in Dallas, which made it even more special. This is definitely something I’d recommend to anyone seeking authentic Indian bread. For starters, the chicken and goat appetizers were quite satisfying. Both were well-seasoned and cooked to perfection, offering a great mix of tenderness and spice. However, the pastries were a bit underwhelming. They lacked the juiciness and richness one typically expects, which made them less enjoyable compared to the other offerings. To round off the meal, the chai and samosas were decent. The chai was comforting, though not extraordinary, while the samosas were crispy and flavorful, though not particularly memorable. Overall, it was a well-rounded experience with a few standout dishes and some room for improvement.

The place is quite spacious with a decent variety of food options. We ordered the 2-piece mandi, and they mentioned it would be served as two separate plates, which was fine with us. However, we were charged for two single mandis instead of the 2-piece mandi price, which is actually lower in comparison. The person at the cash counter seemed unsure how to process the 2-piece order—someone from the back was instructing her to charge it as two single pieces. They ended up blaming it on the prices not being updated on the menu board, but it seemed more like they just didn’t know how to properly charge for the 2-piece mandi. At that point, we were very hungry and didn’t want to get into an argument, so we left it as is, but overall we didn’t like the way it was handled. As for the food, we ordered the paneer mandi. The rice was flavorful and well-cooked, but the paneer pieces were quite disappointing—they were hard and not soft, making them difficult to eat.

I recently visited Desi District in Prosper and had the pleasure of trying their Romali roti and chicken kadai. Both dishes were outstanding and truly showcased the restaurant's dedication to authentic Indian cuisine. The Romali roti was incredibly soft and thin, just as it should be. It had the perfect balance of elasticity and lightness, making it an ideal accompaniment to the rich and flavorful chicken kadai. The roti was freshly made and still warm when it arrived at our table, enhancing the overall dining experience. The chicken kadai was a highlight of the meal. The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection, absorbing the robust flavors of the spices. The gravy was rich and aromatic, with just the right amount of heat to make it enjoyable without overwhelming the palate. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for a delicious and authentic Indian dining experience.
