This Academy Sports location is exactly the reason I shop at Scheels.

I purchased an 18" bike for my son. At the store, I found that the brakes were not installed properly. I was encouraged by the staff to purchase the bike online (not in the store) and pick it up after Tuesday (that is when their bike assembler was to be back in the store). I purchased the bike online while standing in the store, which is quite ridiculous.

I arrive on Thursday and stand in the online pickup line for at least ten minutes. As the line grows behind me, the single cashier continues to help the customers in the store. Another cashier begins completing transactions and his first transaction is a store employee making a purchase. This employee is purchasing something while there are 4 other customers behind her. I would expect that the employee would help the cashier move the line, and then choose to make her purchase after the customers were all helped. I was very wrong.

After the line grew to 3 other customers behind me, I was finally addressed by the cashier and told that I could wait in the other line behind all of the customers purchasing items in the store. I then respond questioning why there is a separate line (as there are signs and labels on the floor) for online pickup. The employee who was in line also decided to chime in at this time and tell me I could have waited in any line (behind her of course).

It then takes another 5-10 minutes to locate the bike. I am presented the bike and the tires are completely flat. At this point, I was just not surprised.

This will definitely be my last purchase at Academy. I have purchased bikes at Scheels and other retailers in the DFW area and was treated...

This pass Saturday March 14, around 1-3 pm , we walk-in very nice person at front , first thing is only small carts - baskets . I couldn’t fit my carry car seat from my baby any way not big deal . It was me, my husband, my oldest daughter and my babies 2 years old and 10 months old (car seat ) .we walked around what we like to buy , we at the shoes department very nice guy help out , 2 guy come got called to cut the display shoes because there no other size, he never said Hi , Hello or any like that .. he just looked at me from head to toes. From there we stared to feeling that we should never went there .. my daughter picked her outfit , my husband had trouble find something we keep look around , we figured what he can fit . After 30 minutes we finally got what we liked. During all this time 3 deferent guys round us watched us , every where we go they keep followed us. One male not even care looked at me went around from the other side just to see what I have in my basket, it was very uncomfortable it was very obvious that they was watched if we stilling . This never stopped till we got at the register. For one we very hard work people to provide and buy what we like and not worry how much we spend on us or our kids . My experience was very uncomfortable. We was very happy that Academy it open by our neighborhood. But this experience feels like don’t go back .. for 1 we Hispanic , 2 we walk in to many people , 3 Putting a lot in the baskets . We total understand that keep eye people not still , but don’t stereotype any body just to minority . My bill was 489 dls , I tell this story if want to look at the cameras and see that exactly what I was tell you about.. very...

We just moved to the area, and as we are sports people thought it would be cool to sign up for a store card, with all the benefits!

The store people are all friendly and nice, but they must get a great kickback from flogging never ending credit cards to unsuspecting customers!

DO NOT MAKE THIS SAME MISTAKE, IT WOULD BE SMARTER TO SIGN UP FOR THE FOREIGN LEGION AND EASIER TO LEAVE

You get charged to buy nothing, as you can see from my recent message.

Why i am being charged $2 minimum interest charge when my balance is $0?

I paid $76 balance last month for zero purchases, phantom interest charges and 2 late payments charge of $35 on nothing.

I am missing something or is this case?

I am charged $2 minimum every month regardless if i have a $0 balance, or leave the country?

If I do not pay this phantom interest charge on time i will be charges $35 every month for late payments fees on a $0 balance If the answer to both of these stupid questions is yes and please see the credit agreement you signed stupid!

Then I am fine with that just please cancel my card immediately you have my full agreement.

I will also go and rent "Rainmaker" this afternoon too!

No wonder you are called Academy, you would have to have severe learning difficulties to continue to pay "MONEY FOR NOTHING"

YOU SHOULD CHANGE YOUR NAME TO DIRE STRAITS, because this is the only place your company is heading with this pathetic and blatant exploitation.

New slogan suggestion not "Make today your place to play" but "Academy buy nothing, your place to always pay"!
