So I like the place and it’s got potential, fish is definitely great and nice cuts. That said, the owner has just a few minor adjustments to make and he’ll step this place up a bunch.
The combo platter is good and well-priced and when it came out I was pleased but noticed something was different…the rice under the fish was in real small balls almost as if the price of rice went up and they’re trying to conserve. Obviously I realize that’s not the case so I questioned him on the amount of rice and explained that the ratio is just a bit off. Don’t get me wrong, I certainly don’t like the adverse where there is just a small piece of fish and a heaping ball of rice…that’s much worse for sure. Honestly I’ve never had this complaint at any sushi place so I was a bit perplexed. The rice was good, wasn’t that hard dried up shit you get at some novice sushi joints.
Atmosphere was off. Dude needs to have a decorator come in there and soften that vibe up a bit (move that refrigerator off the counter), put a small hostess stand by the door and replace that cluttered with another set of sushi bar seats and maybe throw another table in there.
The other odd thing is the order at the counter like McDonalds and sit at one of the uninviting and unwelcoming tables. The place is just set up weird, not much experienced and functional thought went into it.
Conclusion is all those things are just minor adjustments and if he makes those few changes the place will succeed and likely thrive. They seem nice, owners in the building and the food it good and reasonably priced. The quality of the good and technique is really on point.
If you’re the owner and you’re reading this, consider making these minor changes. Your place has a lot of potential and you guys seem really nice so I’d like to see you succeed. OH and you probably shouldn’t charge extra for sauce, especially since the person has to stop their meal and go to your terminal and pay if you want additional sauce. Other than that,...
Read moreIf there’s one constant in life, it’s that Sushi Box will never let your taste buds down. This is not just a sushi spot; it’s a haven where flavor, freshness, and finesse collide in a glorious symphony of umami. Every visit feels like reuniting with an old friend who knows exactly how you like your salmon—melt-in-your-mouth tender, perched on perfectly seasoned rice.
The rolls? Let’s talk about those for a second. Each one is like a tiny masterpiece, assembled with such precision you almost feel bad eating it (almost). The Scorpion Roll? A spicy, crispy, creamy explosion in every bite. The King Dragon Roll? A delicate dance of eel, avocado, and sweet sauce that will leave you questioning why all meals can’t be this good.
And consistency? Sushi Box is the Einstein of consistency—it’s like they’ve cracked the code for serving perfection every. single. time. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, you know you’re getting fish so fresh it might as well have swum onto your plate.
Even the miso soup is next-level comfort, a warm hug in a bowl. Sushi Box doesn’t just serve sushi; they serve happiness, one roll at a time. If you haven’t tried it, what are you waiting...

This has quickly become one of our favorite spots in the area. The sushi is top-notch—super fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Every dish we tried was delicious, and you can tell they truly care about the quality of their food.
The owner went above and beyond to make our visit special. We wanted to order a few more plates and hadn’t realized the kitchen had already closed—but he graciously stayed and prepared what we wanted anyway. That level of kindness and service really stood out.
The atmosphere is great too—casual, modern, and family-friendly. My kids loved the upbeat music so much they were dancing by the table! It was such a fun and memorable evening for all of us.
We can’t wait to go back. If you’re looking for amazing sushi with warm, welcoming service, this is the place....
