As a regular visitor to Kroger Marketplace in Prosper, I can confidently say that it is one of my favorite Kroger locations. This sprawling store offers a wide variety of products, from everyday essentials to specialty items, making it a shopper's delight. Let me highlight some of the aspects that make this Kroger Marketplace a nice place to shop.
One of the standout features of this store is its sushi counter. If you're a fan of sushi like me, you'll be delighted by the fresh and flavorful sushi offerings available. The skilled sushi chefs prepare a diverse selection of rolls and nigiri, catering to both traditional and contemporary tastes. The quality of the fish and the attention to detail in each roll truly elevate the sushi experience at Kroger Marketplace in Prosper.
Cheese and wine enthusiasts will find themselves in heaven here. The cheese selection is impressive, boasting an array of both domestic and international cheeses. From creamy bries to tangy cheddars and everything in between, there's something to satisfy every palate. Additionally, the knowledgeable staff is always willing to provide recommendations or help you pair your cheese selections with the perfect wine.
Speaking of wine, the wine section at Kroger Marketplace is truly outstanding. The store offers an extensive collection of reds, whites, rosés, and sparkling wines from various regions around the world. Whether you're looking for an affordable everyday bottle or a special occasion splurge, you're sure to find a suitable option. The well-organized aisles and detailed labels make it easy to navigate and discover new wines.
Beyond the sushi counter, cheese, and wine selections, Kroger Marketplace in Prosper excels in other departments as well. The produce section offers a wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables, often sourced locally, ensuring quality and supporting the community. The bakery section is filled with tempting treats, from crusty bread to decadent pastries, while the deli offers a diverse assortment of meats, salads, and ready-to-eat meals.
The overall store layout is well-designed and spacious, making it easy to navigate and find what you need. The staff members are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, providing excellent customer service.
While Kroger Marketplace in Prosper is undoubtedly a good store, there is still some room for improvement. Occasionally, popular items may run out of stock, especially during peak hours, which can be slightly inconvenient. However, the staff usually restocks quickly, minimizing any inconvenience caused.
In conclusion, Kroger Marketplace in Prosper is a standout store that deserves high praise. With its exceptional sushi counter, extensive cheese and wine selections, and a wide range of other quality products, it offers a delightful shopping experience. Read moreHad my last stop at this location today. I arrived at 7:08pm to get my son’s preordered cake and a cupcake from the bakery. I noticed right away the sign said closed at 7:00pm. I immediately went to the deli where a young lady was working to see if she could grab my cake out of the cooler. There I waited from 7:08 until 7:30 while she talked and laughed with a gentleman that was there before me. Literally no acknowledgment, no call for assistance, not so much as a just a moment. She did slice some meat & cheese for him certain moments of their conversation but surely not the entire time. After standing there 22 mins (not exaggerating), he headed wherever and she finally asked how she could help. I asked if I could have my son’s cake from the bakery cooler please. She said she’ll get a manager because she doesn’t have access. She went to do that then came back and said bakery closes at 7 but she’s coming. I replied that’s awesome. Maybe the 22 mins waiting for service made her forget seeing me walk over and read the closed sign then come to her. Anyway, the manager arrived looking annoyed. She asked for my name and said she would see if she can find it. I wasn’t sure where else it could be stored besides a bakery cooler, but hey maybe they’re thrown away if not picked up before closing. I’ll never find out. So she comes out with the cake and says here it is. They didn’t charge for the kit because the machine is broken, still holding the cake back on the counter out of sight. I said what does that mean for me, is it hand written? She said yep and slid it over. No concern, no apology, no offer to make it right in any way such as a discount or something added. I looked at the scribbled kindergarten level cake and my heart dropped. I didn’t say a word but thought fast before she rushed off. I said can I please have a strawberry cupcake for my son? No, she said the case is locked with no hint of anything outside of annoyance. I walked away feeling very disheartened with the whole experience from start to finish. But who do you tell when a manager has no interest in a positive customer service experience or upholding a brand? I checked out for the last time and noticed a HEB right up the street on the quiet ride home while my son held his joke of a cake. I said hey, we’ll try there next time. It didn’t make his birthday any better. I just want to share my experience and hope that others can...
Read moreThe store itself is great in regards to items sold/stock, but the customer service is just awful. I am now on my 3rd experience of bad customer service/poor attitude so I will just stick to the location on Little Elm Pkwy.
My first experience was actually with my son who after turning 16 this summer has been looking for part-time work. He completed an application online as they ask, and later dressed up to make an appearance and follow up on his application. After approaching the customer service desk to ask if the hiring manager was available and that he was following up on his online application, the response at the service desk in a very nasty demeanor was "we ain't hiring right now". She was an associate, not the manager, and the tone...the response was completely disrespectful.
After a few visits thereafter, I have experienced on occasion poor attitudes and the lack of customer service and/or assistance. It is very bothersome when you know people, such as my son and others who desperately want a job and you have people in positions with poor attitudes and service that could care less about the job and/or the people that they service.
My last and final episode took place the week of Thanksgiving. I had decided to go in later after the holiday shopping crowd diminished. It was about 10 PM, and all the registers were completely closed and the only option was self checkout. I proceeded to scan everything, and the whole time I was doing so, I noticed there was no attendant for self checkout, however, there were two young ladies (employees) sitting on the bench in front of self checkout having a lovely and very appropriate conversation (sarcasm) about their personal relationships. As I finished scanning all my items, I had a couple of coupons to use, and required the assistance of a staff member. I stood there looking, waiting for assistance, and eventually had to ask was anyone working self checkout tonight, only for one of the young ladies to roll her eyes and say "I am".
That did it for me. Customer service goes a long way...and when I see people with attitudes that have to deal with customers its often hard to equate their attitude with personal things that are going on in their lives...because we all have bad days. But for me it is just disturbing that there is always something wrong at this location relative to...
