What a great find this was! Took my family there for Mom's birthday brunch and seriously was the best meal we have had in 6 months in Dallas. I had the breakfast plate and the bacon was so tender and clear it was delicious, the eggs were cooked to perfection and not at all like the powdered ones everywhere else. My wife had the vegetarian omelette which was so light and fluffy and all fresh ingredients, but the real surprise was for the kids the boys both chose waffles one plain the other chocolate, they were superb but they both wanted steak with their waffles, so we thought why not and $17 seemed pretty reasonable for steak, but to be honest was expecting tough old boots, how wrong I was they were “to die for“ they were so tender and cooked to perfection, and simply melted in the mouth, they were so good the kids ordered another to share! enough said this is a gem of a place, Sonya and Mike are wonderful hosts and the staff can't do enough for you! you will not be disappointed and I am just so glad we wanted to try this out instead of I-Wait 20 minutes always across the way! and golf simulator booth too! felt like I was back at Whistling Straits, atmosphere, service, setup and food are absolute quality! Will be our go to place for sure! 4 clean plates, happy smiles and reasonable prices!Quality!

Writing the review as we are in the venue. I’ll start with the positive (Food! Drinks!) and then explain why I’m leaving a three star review only (and hesitating to do less - but really don’t want to impact a local business). The food (BLT and Burger) and drinks were served nicely and tasted great - a perfect Saturday lunch. So far so good. As there were more staff in the place than people, and nobody in any of the bays throughout our entire visit, I asked if we could rent a bay for 30min (it’s $60 per hour on a Saturday) as we had limited time and wanted to try this out after lunch. Nope. I asked if there was a deal of some kind, so we would pay only $30 for the game (for 30min). Nope. Asked again, and server told us she asked the manager. For a ‘new’ place with no people using the bays and few people in the bar / restaurant- why ?! Why not allows us $30/30min instead of being stuck on the $60/60 min is there is literally nobody ? I don’t get it. Truly not. That’s not running a (local) business…

Checked out the place today for lunch. The interior's sleek, with dining located to the left and the golf simulation rooms to the right. Since it wasn't busy, the hostess was also the same employee that took our order. We ordered The Local Open Burger (med rare) and the Steak Sandwich. They arrived pretty quickly. The burger was tender and juicy and the sandwich was well seasoned. The chips were house-made and had the right amount of salt. I had expected the avocado and bacon jam to be on the burger, but they had them set on the side, so that was an interesting choice. The only negative was that the bottom bun of my burger got soggy quickly, so it was a bit messy near the end. Overall, the food was pretty good and tasty! The owner and employee also stopped by several times to check in with us. The only thing is that the food is on the pricier side (Burger was $20; sandwich was $22), but they did give a lot of food as well.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY HERE! We are frequent visitors of the PGA Frisco and rent bays monthly as our 2.5 year old is obsessed with golf! Yesterday, Saturday about 4pm, we go to meet our friends and their 2.5 year old to rent a bay as we typically do, however, they were completely booked til 8pm. So, we decided to try out the new “Local Open” spot down the street.

My husband calls, and is unable to rent a bay over the phone, but can make the reservation online. Ok, no problem, we rent the bay online $125 charge immediately on our card. We arrive, four adults and two 2.5 year olds. We are greeted by the host and she takes us to the bay where she explains the rules and tells us about the simulator.

She leaves and we are chatting, the boys hitting balls…waiting on our server. “Enter THE BUSINESS OWNER” she comes into the bay on level 20, MAD. I’m getting a very strong vibe by her body language and tone she does not want us here. She goes on to explain the rules…how only 4 people can be in the bay. The boys need to take turns, stand 2 feet back behind the light, this isn’t TOP GOLF, and tells my husband he needs to verbally agree to the terms and conditions he already agreed to online…very bizarre behavior in my opinion. Mind you we are 32 year old business professionals/ business owners with small children.

I walked out of the bay, to the EMPTY RESTAURANT, to let my husband handle the situation. My friend comes out of the bay couple seconds later looking at me like what the heck? and we agreed it was time to go! 😅 I walked back into the bay to tell my husband and my friend’s husband to “let’s just go.” The business owner looks at me and tells me I’m upset, which of course I was because of the way she was speaking to us as customers coming in to spend $300+. This is not a cheap place, $30 for a SALAD! I totally understand something not being a good fit, but there is a way to say that without being so rude and confrontational.

There is zerooooo customer service here, and it comes straight from the owner herself! My husband asked if he will be refunded for the golf since we were there maybe 10 minutes? She first said he wouldn’t get a refund…then he asked so you can’t prorate the amount?… We didn’t even get to play? She then asked for the last 4 of his cc so we will see if we get refunded. Highly doubt it based on the experience.

Moral of the story… this is not a family friendly establishment! We LOVE Frisco because it is so family friendly, however, this one IS NOT! Take your business to PGA Frisco or Top Golf if you have a golf obsessed kiddo like me!

As a business owner myself, I love to see small businesses succeed. However, this one needs a lot of work!...

Today, I ate at this establishment for the first time, and it will not be the last. They have a steak sandwich with caramelized Vidalia onions that is some serious adult pleasure for your tastebuds (imagine a "foodgasm").It is not the last time I will be there, because many other items on their menu sounded great, too. They have a full bar, and they also have both 'sweet tea', and unsweetened tea. I drank 'half and half' Iced tea, and it was "great" to my taste.

Their freshly made fries were great, and they also offer "made fresh" potato chips. There is not a freezer in the place, so they make everything fresh. My server kept my tea glass going, and checked on me often. The atmosphere there is comfortable and relaxing without 'dining in the dark'. They had so many things on the menu that I will need to go back to try them, including fresh made pizzas. If you want to watch TV, there are enough screens large enough behind the bar that I suspect you can watch a game from a table 30 feet or more from the TVs.

If you've not enjoyed a meal there (as I did tonight!), then you have absolutely no idea what you are missing. When you go, please tell them, "Tony said to tell you 'Hello!' '"

My suggestion, if you live near the restaurant, then dine there tonight or tomorrow, but go soon before it becomes the busiest place near the intersection of FM423 and US 380. You deserve to reward yourself and dine there tonight. The food, service, and...

This is our fourth time here, as we do truly love it and it is very close to our home. Today's experience, however, was very disappointing and I am now not sure if I will ever go back. We ordered a barbecue flatbread and specifically told the waitress it was for an appetizer. She didn't place that order until we ordered our meal, so it came only 4 minutes ahead of our food. We usually go there for the steak sandwich, which we have always loved! I always order it plain, meaning only steak and bread. I was very clear that I wanted only steak and bread, as I can't stand mushrooms or onions. It was delivered to me and I was told it was "plain." As I bit into it, I found it loaded with mushrooms and onions. I sat and picked every mushroom and onion off of one half. The server came to check on us about 15 minutes later and I told her I was unhappy that I was having to pick through my sandwich (makes a mess due to the sauce that is on it) and she apologized and told me she'd speak to the manager. She also stated, "I am sure we can take that off of your bill" Well, it wasn't taken off and I was frustrated that I could only eat 1/2 of the sandwich because it was a lot of work to pick through the meat in search of mushrooms and onions. I paid $22 for a sandwich that wasn't as I ordered it and I couldn't eat it. And, the flatbread wasn't enjoyed either, since it came only minutes ahead of our meal. I hope to go back and get the sandwich that I love, the way...
