I will never look in the direction of this establishment ever again for how they treated me as a potential customer.

Disclaimer: This is not about the sample, ultimately. But this is about how they treated me.

I asked for one sample at the food bar and they, to their credit, kindly obliged. I then asked for just one more sample and they denied me saying I had to start making a plate and then I could sample more (in another Google review, they gave someone multiple samples before they started making a plate).

I explained to them I was not sure yet if I wanted to purchase and would like just one more sample before considering a purchase. Multiple of them then immediately began to tell me I had to start a plate in order to sample further. The manner in which they were all speaking at me and treating me felt like I was getting ganged up on, belittled, and being manipulated by multiple salesmen to buy a plate. This did not make me more confident in purchasing from them. After they realized I was indecisive, they immediately started to ignore me and beckon at the mall goers walking by behind me. From there, I simply walked away.

This is not about the sample, but how they treated me.

I understand that they are not required to give samples, which is reasonable, but their pushiness and rudeness in the way I was treated when I only asked for one more sample was belittling. It felt like I was being ganged up on and treated as someone they were looking down upon. Then I was further belittled, by being ignored. How I was treated I would not even think of doing to a mutt.

There is a better way to deny someone of something and to do it kindly.

I understand they are attempting to be salesmen at the end of the day and I respect that, but how you treat potential customers will undoubtedly affect if you are an effective salesman or not. Which, in this case, they were not.

Regardless, I hope they are able to earn enough at this job for themselves and for their families. I hope they will continue to bring in customers for the sake of their loved ones they are supporting. But I also hope they will grow to be kinder to the next potential customer that asks for just one more sample.

As for me, however, I will never think of this...

I went here today while I was up from college. I had been there before a few years prior and I really enjoyed it, but it has gone down hill. I just wanted to share a 2 entre and 2 side thing with my girl friend ($11) and then buy my sister a 1 entre and 1 side thing ($8). They charged me $30+ for the whole thing, and charged me for the sides that were supposed to be included in the meal. They explained it to me, turns out rice is a side (wish I had been told in the beginning because it wasn't on the menu), but even when they explained it, seemed as though I was being charged at least $4 extra still. However, they refused to listen to me, or at least explain it to me in a way that I could understand where buying 7 sides, warrents paying for 8, they only reason I am mad btw. I really like the food here, so I will probably go back one day, but I swear, if this happens again I am just walking away before they can steal my money and buying some of gods chicken at chik-fil-a. The staff might as well have not...

I would not patronize this eatery at all.I had ordered an entree and two sides when the person said I could add on another item.I was surprised and asked what can I add on to which he said anything so I chose the shrimp.Now unbeknownst to me I was charged a two entree and two sides plus extra for the shrimp.I only saw that I was charged extra when I had finished my meal and glanced at the receipt.I was livid as I only requested for an entree and two sides.i was not informed that I was being charged for the price of two entrees and two sides along with the extra shrimp.To add to the insult,when I confronted the server he claimed it was my fault.The manager was of no help either and berated me for my request of a refund of $1.99 for the price of extra shrimp when I was not informed I was being charged extra.I know $1.99 is a small amount but I was being ripped off and was disappointed with the dishonesty.Avoid eating here...
