We went through the drive thru at around 2:30 (a slow hour) and asked for two grande refreshers. Despite them being out of our first choice of drink and an additional syrup, we continued with our order to make the best of it. One pink drink and a strawberry açaí lemonade refresher. Once we pulled up and got our drinks, they automatically looked wrong, as we get these drinks all the time. There was an immense amount of foam on our refreshers (which shouldn’t happen) and no dried strawberries. When we tasted them, they tasted mostly of water and so we asked them to remake it. Usually Starbucks is friendly and quick to fix any problem but this time, they looked put out at our outrageous request of remaking the drinks correctly. They took back our drinks (which never happens) and while they were “remaking them” we saw the barista roll her eyes at us. When we got our “new” drinks, they looked and tasted the EXACT same. The pink drink for sure did not get remade because the foam on the top of the lid was identical to the one before it. It’s like they just tore off the sticker and said “here get out of the line.” It just felt like we were a burden for asking for the right tasting drink and, despite our politeness, felt unwelcomed. We’ve never felt this way at a Starbucks before and don’t plan on coming back to this location. We drove to a different location at Cross Roads and they fixed it without hesitation or eye rolls. Whether it be me getting the wrong drink or there’s never any food or the workers never know how to remake/make a drink the correct way. I went today through the drive-through and got five drinks and two sandwiches on one of the drinks I had added Java chips, caramel, white mocha and more, just to have it come out plain. on another one, I had caramel drizzle… as u can assume… no caramel drizzle!!! And on another one I had NO whipped cream! and if you didnt guess it, i got!! with whipped cream!!! how amazing! I also ordered a cinnamon dolce Frappuccino, and it came out completely wrong… When I asked the lady at the window, she told me it looks wrong… But there’s nothing she can do about it … I think it is extremely ridiculous that I am charged extra for toppings that aren’t in my drinks, not to mention, the lady at the window said I was good to go and forgot one of my drinks. When I realized i obviously turned around to get a drink i just paid $8 for. The line was too long, so I went in just for the workers to ignore my presence. Finally someone came from the back after everyone else in front was ignoring me and he was very helpful and was attentive to customers. He had glasses I believe and brown hair. Not only is he incredibly friendly and welcoming, but he also goes above and beyond to make customers feel special. He remembers my name and even my regular drink order — something that still amazes me given how many people come through the store daily. That level of personal attention is something you can’t train — it comes from someone who truly cares. Thomas works incredibly hard and does it all with a positive attitude. He’s always moving, always helping, and yet he still finds the time to ask how my day is going and make real conversation.
