IHOP — Restaurant in Frisco

I've been going IHOP for the past 40 plus years. Although my requests are pretty straightforward, it's been very difficult to get everything that I asked for, which they consider "special requests". In this culture of speed without service, I have the good fortune of being served by Kaitlyn H at this location. Kaitlyn took my "qwerky" requests and made them her own. Something as simple as insisting on hot toast so it melts the butter, she assured me that she enjoys that also and will make sure it happens. Low and behold the toast came out warmer than every other time but she kept to her promise and brought semi-melted butter in a separate container stating "I love when butter melts on my toast so I melted some butter just to make sure as I enjoy this and thought you might." I thought that Kaitlyn was pretty special immediately. As this is only a small example of today's perfection, it showcases the tremendous skills and customer-centric forward thinking that Kaitlyn will bring to every situation. One requesting a manager, a very nice and smart individual named Daniel came over and was very respectful and responsive, and most of all grateful that one of his teammates was getting acknowledgment. Acknowledgment. Although it was not new to hear about Kaitlyn, It was definitely appreciated. If I was IHOP, I would make sure I hold on to Kaitlyn and catapult her through the ranks, starting with training and ending up in the executive offices. My husband and I visited last night (5/27) around 8pm. We walked in and were seated quickly, but had to wait 10 minutes for a server to visit the table. When he came by he presented himself with “Yall want drinks?” - nothing else. We ordered drinks and he disappeared for an additional 15 minutes. We debated leaving, but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was the only other present worker aside from the hostess. I’ll mention at the time of arrival we were only the third table present in the restaurant. He finally took our order to which my husband got the sirloin tips and eggs, and I got the jalapeño kick burger. We were not visited by our server at all, and two additional families came in as did another server. We got our food and my burger was pink, and had shredded cheese meant to appear as sliced. My husband’s steak and eggs arrived with no eggs, or pancakes, and the mushrooms and onions on his plate weren’t even cooked, just raw. Our waiter never visited or checked on us, never wrote anything down, and when he did stop it was so quick we couldn’t even tell him that we needed, or what was wrong. We left and by the time we made it home we were both sick and had no other explanation but the food. went here on Sat. 12/2/2023 The waitress sat us and said someone will be with you. 10 minutes later a manager asked if we had been helped. That same waitress came back and said i can take your order. We ordered out drinks and food no issue. kind of annoyed. She brings out my food cold.. about 15 minutes later and said were still waiting on my grandsons Wonka pancakes. She brings them out and doesn't bother to get us refills. At this time a table of 8 was sat in her sections. mind you these are her only 2 tables. Well my grandson didn't like the Wonka pancakes so I give him mine. I called the waitress over since she hadn't checked on us she was to involved with the table of 8. I told her that he didn't like the Wonka pancakes and to get him a couple more normal ones. She said ok and then went back to the table of 8. 20 minutes later after she has been helping the other table and seemed to forget about us I said rudely HEY Since you forgot about us i just want my check so we can leave. She then admitted "yeah (hehe) i did forget about you two." I am a person who tips well to the point my bank contacts me at times and ask if i meant to leave that large of a tip. Well on this trip I for the first time in years selected no tip. Worst...
