I have not been here in 4 years and I DEFINITELY will not be back to this location. We went today (10/6/24 it was a 4 top). We sat in the booth next to the server stand that was by the kitchen door and the server did not pay attention to anything, when we ordered water she said "sweet tea" After ordering it took 45 mins to get the food and the server did not check on our table once during that time. It was not even busy. I keept seeing her at her other table and always looking at the game on the TV. Plus the food was salty and not fully correct to how it was ordered. J What follows is my original review from 9/12/2020...... Good food that we have got the last couple times when we have come here from Gainesville, but yesterday (9/12/20) I called in a order at 11:55 am and was told it would be 20 minutes. I arrive there at 12:20 pm and I'm told it will be a few more minutes (there was not alot of people in there). I did not get the food until 12:40. The server who brought the food out had a attitude and did not say sorry it took so long and my wife ordered the gyro and it fell apart in her hands. I will stick to gators dockside in Gainesville and won't go back this place and I will recommend that no one else goes there ethier. Looking at the reviews the owner only replies to the positive reviews, shows what kind of...

My husband and I went there last night looking for good food and good drinks, when we got there it was almost empty, so we didn't think it would take as long as it did to receive our food. My husband ordered the Philly Cheesesteak, which is supposed to be a "favorite"; when it arrived, it looked like it had been sitting out for a quite a while, when he started eating it, he bit into a black tough piece of something, it was definitely not meat. my salad arrived at the table, I ordered the crispy chicken salad, first of all, I ordered the half size and it was so tiny (definitely not half size!!) for 9 bucks! it was not that flavorful. the only thing that I liked about the salad was the chicken on it, it had so many bland fried onions that overpowered the lettuce and the chicken. My husband also ordered mixed vegetables as a side, to his sandwich, when his plate arrived they gave us fries instead, so we told the waitress what he ordered and she corrected it no problem. However, when it came, the "mixed vegetables" was a bowl of broccoli. the butter that came with it was meant for seafood. it had lemon in it, not regular melted butter. Our waitress was fantastic though! Even though the food was bad, we still tipped her well because of how attentive and apologetic she was to us, she was very sweet and...

Ive been to Gators Dockside for a few years now and I think I have a pretty good grasp of their establishment. For starters, like every restaurant, you have their best menu items and their NOT so best. Gators is a place that I would recommend going for a beer with the guys, dropping by on a Wednesday night for some food when you dont wanna cook, or just dropping in after work on a Friday for some bar food. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a place called "Gators"...the almost bumpkin Florida backwoods vibe of polyurethaned wood tables and bench seats, television monitors everywhere with every sport imaginable, and the focus on deep fried foods and booze. Decent draft selections are a plus and I was pretty satisfied with their wings although I dont recommend opting for the "grilled" option (I like hot wings HOT and I felt like the grilling takes a lot of that heat away). Ive also had their Monte Cristo sandwich and it was pretty tasty although Im sure it left a little arterial residue. All in all, I'll definately return for (like Ive said before) beer, hot wings, and bar food...but I'll take the Mrs. somewhere else for anything...

This restaurant has potential but lacks what it takes to compete in this category of restaurant. The Menu has a few good items on it but for the most part everything else is just off the delivery truck and presented as is straight from the fryer. They decor/ambiance is really where they lack the most. Is it a sports bar? is it just a general restaurant with TV's? is there any personality in the design? the answer to all is maybe but maybe not. assuming this is a franchise situation and the look and feel are that of the franchise owner then that explains a lot. If not and this is the corporate desired look, you need to rethink everything.

$65 for wings. Asked for the double fried , light sauce. They brought grilled and drenched in sauce. Kept them (paid for them) and asked them to bring another correct batch. Needless to say they were still wrong. Regular fried wings drenched in sauce. I ate 4 of 20. Boxed them up (maybe three kids will eat them later) . I ordered two long islands with light ice….i got two long islands with light ice, light alcohol and heavy sour mix. I’m so aggravated . Waitress was ok, she tried although she was slightly dismissive when I was explaining to her what I wanted. I eat here fairly regularly and it’s 50/50 on the food. I don’t think I’ll be back

Gator's is the BEST!! From a quick bite and some team-building after a game to family time each week (Friday nights for us) - Gator's never disappoints! It helps that Peter Q. knows our orders before we walk in the door, and he even helped surprise our daughter with Taylor Swift tickets on one of the most special nights of her life so far...it just feels like family when we walk in the door, and we couldn't be happier with the food, atmosphere and service. Five stars!!! Side note - tonight we left to-go food at our table on our way out, and our awesome server ran it out to us in the parking lot!!! Doesn't get better :)!
