We ordered from the drive-through debated on what sides to get we finalized on fries and mashed potatoes with the kids. Unfortunately, there was an error and the order was put in with coleslaw and mashed potatoes. I didnāt catch it. We got our order. We got home and saw that we didnāt get fries. With having two little kids, I rushed back to explain the situation and see if they can get me the fries that we initially wanted. After driving 10 minutes back to Popeyes they wouldnāt make it right and give me some fries unless I were to go back another 10 minutes to the house pick up the coleslaw , then drive 10 minutes back and hand them the coleslaw that they gave. Iām sure they canāt serve it to another customer and would have to throw out. I understand thereās policy, but being in the fast food service industry you throw away tons of food per day. An order of fries to keep a couple of toddlers happy and a fatherās stress level down wouldnāt get anyone fired, its service. We donāt pick up fast food expecting fine dining service but just decent service and logic would be nice. Johnny, S and Sauvaughn, Aced the test for knowing Popeyes policy which was quoted several times but dropped the ball and failed on basic...

Ok, so Popeyes has officially lost their minds. I just ordered four pieces of chicken ala cart. 2 legs and 2 thighs and I was told at the drive through window "That will be $17.20 please".

$17.20 for four pieces of chicken??? THAT'S $4.30 per piece!!! before tax, $3.99 per piece for ala cart order on my receipt.
Now I can buy an entire 3½ pound rotisserie chicken at Costco for $4.99. That breaks down to $0.62 cents per piece (8 pieces in whole bird).
Where does Popeyes get off selling me a 2½ pound bird piece of chicken for $3.99 when Costco can sell me a 3½ pound bird piece for $0.62 cents.
I know it's closer to a 2½ bird because the drumsticks are so small compared to the Costco drumsticks. Costco is 3½ before cooking and around 3 pounds after cooking, so perhaps Popeyes bird is closer to 2 pounds after cooking.

Popeyes.... YOU HAVE LOST...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecided to try Popeyes chicken strips today. I've heard a lot of good things about Popeyes and chose it over KFC and Raising Cane's. Getting right to the point. It was absolutely horrible. The chicken tenders batter had a white color to the batter when you bite into the tenders the chicken was actually kind of spongy throughout. I have yet to experience this level of poor quality & taste from eating at KFC, Raising Cane's or Chick-fil-A.
I ate one tender, and that was it, threw the rest of them away. That's how bad it was. I don't know that ill spend my money giving Popeyes another shot considering just how horrible these tenders tasted compared to KFC, Raising Cane's and of course, Chick-fil-A.
I will add location was not busy. It was not rush hour, in fact, the preparation of the order was not the fastest, but it wasn't super slow. There just wasn't any traffic to Justify How the Meal Tasted.
This was ordered & purchased from the Yorba Linda location & maybe it's isolated, maybe it's not. There are obviously options if you want chicken tenders, however I would definitely steer...
