Ryo Coffee & Tea is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it spot ... but you'll be pleased you didn't miss it!

Location: It's small-ish and if you drive on busy Chapman Avenue you might not have noticed it across from Fullerton College. There's no parking lot in the front -- only in the back with limited street parking in the front. This is really the only complaint I have, as I first went to the back but saw a bunch of homeless people hanging out back there. So I circled back to the front; fortunately there were spots in the front on Saturday around noon. Of course, Ryo has no control over the homeless situation, but it's something to note.

Atmosphere: Once inside, I found it clean, pleasant, and inviting. It's not crazy big, so if you might have trouble finding a spot during peak hours; there's about 4 small square tables and two long tables.

Drinks: We've only gotten two so far but both were great: creamy matcha and sesame bliss. The former had a strong matcha flavor we were seeking without the grittiness of a lesser tea. The sesame bliss was a filter-brewed coffee latte with black sesame foam. The foam had a nice nuttiness with a hint of sweetness, nicely balancing the solid coffee.

Service: Our barista was friendly and knowledgeable -- we couldn't have asked for more.

Conclusion: It's sometimes hard to find a cafe that serves drinks that are both strong and flavorful, while still offering good customer service. I'm happy to say Ryo does both. We'll be back to try the...

!! NEW BOBA SHOP IN FULLERTON, CA !! Decided to check out @ryocoffeeandtea and was not disappointed! The owner, Peter, is possibly the sweetest man alive and gave me samples so I could decide what I wanted! I ended up getting the Phoenix Milk Tea and it was delicious! He told us it’s imported from Vietnam and made fresh everyday. You can tell they really care about the quality of their teas and it shows in the drinks! I can’t wait to come back and try their other drinks!! They have been open for about 2 weeks so please go support!!

♡ Phoenix Milk Tea: Super yummy! The owner was saying how he tried as best as he could to emulate Orobae’s infamous Rising Phoenix! If you were a fan of Orobae then you would LOVE this!

other factors: ♡ Parking: Street parking + a small lot behind the bulilding! ♡ Study: Lots of tables to sit and...

Went in for the first time and the owner was extremely welcoming, great with reccommendations, and top-tier funny! The creamy matcha I ordered was one of the best matchas I have ever had. I will most definetely be coming back here, I have heard other drinks on their menu are also very tasty. The owner was actually my old proffessor at CSUF, and during classes he would always talk about a certain milk tea he would purchase that was his favorite. I was told by himself that him and his wife, before opening this shop, went all the way to vietnam to learn how to make the best drinks possible(and to re-create his favorite milk tea). I cannot wait to continue trying more drinks out. You will not regret coming here- I guarantee you leave with a smile...

I like to support small businesses, so I tried this small coffee place in Fullerton. Parking is behind the building and lots of no parking signage meant for college students. I ordered an iced oatmilk vanilla latte. I asked to have not sweet so the barista did not include sugar. I also had a pistachio croissant. Although, tasty, it was just way too much sugar for me ( my fault) They have games to play if you are with friends and want to spend some time hanging out. This was morning run. I do recommend.
