Santa Fe Express Cafe — Restaurant in Fullerton

On Thursday I wanted to get food, but they took too long because their frier wasn’t working and they didn’t tell me anything and it was already 30 minutes in when i placed the order. The train that i was gonna board was already coming in 6 minutes and the worker asked me if I still wanted my order or a refund. Then the worker was attending someone else and I was waiting for them to refund me. But they took too long and the train was already there. The lady then said to bring the receipt the next to but once I was off the train I then called and wanted my money back. They first did a partial refund and expected me to not noticed but I then asked for the full payment back and they said they had given it to me. Had 2 transfer trains @ this location I had looked over prices considering where I was it was a bit pricy but other places made up 4 it in quantity/quality So I was surprised 2 receive such a small amount of cheap turkey that was folded in half very thin 4 the price Something you would fix 4 a child @ home I had more bread/slice of cheese than meat The cashier was somewhat friendly but seemed like she rather be anywhere but there Having people like ne visiting or passing through she wasn't able 2 explain anything on the menu makes it hard 4 people with allergies or certain things that can not be eaten However the place itself was quaint clean not 2 loud considering the influx of extra people due to train route changes N bussing people in I pray she was just...

Exceptional eating option, given that it's at a facility that exists for public transportation. Beer on tap (and not just the mass produced beers), happy hour, and food that is made to order at very acceptable prices. Great patio that you can drink beer at and watch trains. Service is very good, which makes me want to leave a tip (and I do). Patio also has a piano if you want to play it.

This train station happens to be a key point where BNSF freight trains go through between Long Beach and points east or south. So, you don't just see Amtrak and Metrolink. Perfect for railfans.
