Stood at front door was unsure if I should seat myself or wait. After several minutes of waiting I approached the register and asked if I should seat myself and the employee stated sorry about that yes seat yourself. I did so.
I chose a table sat down and began to open my ipad to document work activities. No one came to my table.
As I sat there for several more minutes approx four to five families entered and sat down, then several people entered as it was nearly lunch time.
The employees promptly began attending to all of the customers who entered long after I did, I never even was asked what I wanted to drink or was brought a menu.
I believe it's because I'm large bearded man with sleeve tattoos.
All the employees were of a later generation of myself, old enough to be my parent as I'm almost 50.
It's fine and expected culturally to have this type of behavior surface from a generation that likely do not accept what is accepted today my many.
I cannot comment on the quality of the food, simply because I wasn't offered any.
This time, it cost you a large tip and a review from a neglected possible customer with over 2,000,000 Google food reviews.
Good luck...
Read moreMy first-ever visit to Gadsden (or Alabama, for that matter), and we found this gem for breakfast. We seated ourselves, and were greeted by a young woman with a hometown accent that would melt your heart. When I asked some question about grits, she said, "You're not from around here, are ya?" And I fell in love with Alabama right then and there, lol. The breakfast options were normal, and the food was very good. I engaged the owner in some conversation, and enjoyed what he had to say about the area and his history in that location. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area, looking...
Read moreEven better under the new owners! This was a perfect meat-and-three experience. We tried chicken and dressing (Sunday special), fried chicken livers, fried okra, fried green tomatoes, and mac and cheese. Literally everything was perfectly prepared and seasoned. It was absolutely a fair price for the quality of food, and anyone complaining about the cost obviously hasn't noticed the price of groceries lately. No, it's not as cheap as when you ate here ten years ago, and If you want to eat at a fast food chain for a few bucks cheaper, go for it. But this food was incredible, homemade, and enough leftovers for a second meal. Great job, y'all! We will be...
