Menu is extremely limited and $$. The only normal food was a burger. It was awesome. My side item was potato soup. It was brown and gross. It turned out it wasn't potato soup it was cream of potato soup with bacon grease in it. I found no bacon.
Side note* This is not bar with bar food or bar food prices. This is fine dinning.
They will absolutely go out of their mind if you don't allow them to take your drink order immediately. You do not have permission to sit at your table and look at the menu before you order your drink.
My husband was on the phone. They could see that he was on the phone. I told the lady that I didn't know what I wanted to drink. We had a guest coming but he was late. So yes we thought we could call them before looking at the menu. I promise we had just sat down.
She just stood there and looked at me and kept asking me what we wanted to drink. I hadn't even had the opportunity to look at the drink menu. I really didn't know what I wanted to drink. Me and my husband normally discuss if we are having alcoholic beverage or normal beverages before we order.
I finally got the first lady to let me be. You could tell it did not make her happy. It was like a ocd thing. She looked upset and flustered. It was a horrible first impression.
Immediately a gentleman came over and about our drink order. I just want a minute to ask my husband after he got off the phone. I said I don't know what my husband wants, thinking it would buy me some time. No luck. He just keep asking and looking at me. I finally told him I would just take some ice water hoping that that would pacify him.
I thought then when my husband got off the phone me and him could discuss if we were going to do non-alcoholic beverages or alcoholic beverages.
We hadn't had the opportunity to see if this was an expensive bar or an expensive restaurant that looks like a bar.
It's sometimes can be too expensive to drink alcohol at expensive restaurants for lunch. He could see my husband was on the phone. It did Not matter.
But My husband got off of the phone about that time so he takes my husband's drink order. A beer. and I get stuck with the darn ice water.
well that was okay because another lady noticed that we didn't have drinks ( the moment that the gentleman walked away) and so she immediately came over and started the whole process again. 😱
I would have walked out right then and there. But for my husband LOL.
So I did order a beer. I was not cold! Ick! It was cool.
I have never saw anything like this before in my life. It was a bad experience. It made me feel bad.
The menu has 6 items on the dinner menu. A pork chop is 26.00. but there's no description that could give you a reason why it should be $26. There's no ounce weight to be expected. Nothing that makes it even sound interesting enough to pay $26 for a pork chop.
Lunch was cheaper. 8.00 for 6 fried pickle Spears and our burger was 11.00. beer was cheap. Yay! 40.00 bucks for my appetizer, 2 real burgers that was awesome. Side each. My husband loved his fries.
So Our Hamburger was awesome❤️. It had normal things on it. 💞 There was a burger with barbecue sauce and fried onion rings on it. Every thing else had odd things on it. 😱
I loved the guy who took your dirty plates. He always came up and very romantically said may I. I would always say yes sir. It really made you feel good.
No one ever took our menus off the table and we had to eat with them...
Read moreVery cool interior. Had high hopes for quality food and drink. Easy to park and walk to storefront. At first glance the menu is simple but full of reliable and familiar foods. The menu lists the side/ingredient for almost all the brunch dishes as “potato” so I was assuming some type of home cooked skillet potato. It was just tater tots. First disappointment :/ I had the breakfast tacos. 3 tacos in flour tortillas stuffed with tots, scrambled egg and sprinkled with bacon and shredded cheddar. Served with a side of salsa. My husband had the brisket quesadilla stuffed with a very tiny and thin piece of brisket covered in a super sweet bbq sauce, scrambled eggs and cheese. Served w a choice of “potato” tots or grits. For my son we ordered the kids waffle which was just one Eggo with syrup… it was only $2 but an Eggo? Seriously. We also ordered the kids chicken and “potatoes” (tots). The chicken was hand breaded and delicious but you only got two fingers and tots for $8. Yikes. My husband ordered a coffee ($3) and it was made from a single serve pack of instant coffee. Again this was a surprise and disappointment. Very strong and bitter. Big cup though. And only two creamers in single serve packets. Maybe they don’t have a high demand for quality coffee? I just assumed with brunch being served coffee would be a bigger deal and fresh milk or cream in a cute serving carafe or something. Idk. The mimosa was good and only $3. The waitress also seemed busy or distracted although friendly but she only asked or checked for refills once we had finished everything and she brought the bill. :/ Honestly just an underwhelming dining experience in a...
Read moreThis place is phenomenal! Came in today to have a nice lunch to celebrate my wife’s birthday and were not disappointed at all. Right from walking into the front door we had a wonderful experience. The hostess (I didn’t get her name, unfortunately) greeted us with a smile and great attitude. Side note: I love that they allow them to sit here and be comfortable because it doesn’t make sense to keep someone on their feet all shift unnecessarily! This really shows the owners and managers care about their staff! Once we were sat at our table our server Anna came up and was absolutely delightful. She had excellent recommendations and such a sweet and kind personality! She was so attentive and very helpful! The other staff here, are also fantastic and decidedly not frigid or harsh in their attitudes! The manager (who’s name I did not catch) came up to our table during our lunch and checked in with us and made sure we were having a great time and also another server named Hallie Kate also made several stops by our table to clean up empty dishes and make sure we had everything we needed. The service here is second to none! The food here is also fantastic, I recommend the pimento cheese pups and the hot honey chicken sandwich! My wife had the brisket grilled cheese and it looked amazing (add jalapeños to it you won’t regret it!) I 100% recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Next time we come we want to try their brunch we hear...
