Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store — Restaurant in Gainesville

Stayed near here while visting for a graduation in Munster,TX. Food was nothing great at all. I would have been better to go the the local QT gas station or like. I ordered chicken sandwich meals. Chicken was discusting! Just rubbery & nuked. Poor quality meat ...grissly & slimey! I was trying to salvage it by carving out the disgusting parts, gave up & pitched it in trash!! I did not want to get sick!! Their fries were the only saving grace were actually good & crispy without being dried up or old & greasy!!

The dinning area was a absolute mess!! Dirty tables everywhere. Their was actually smeared ketchup greassy remninets of finger prints & food on tables. The fountain drink area was very dirty & gross. I went & opted to get bottle drink it was just not clean!! We had to clear off a table for the 5 of us to sit!! My boys did have their BBQ Burgers & it was good but messy. Gressy burger!! They need to have 1 person assigned to dinning area on KP DUTY always cleaning!!! One high light was a free mint chip & a chocolate & Vanilla shake. They were delish!! If you just in for Ice Cream treats or their little grocery store area it probley is consistant in those areas. Food is hit or miss!! I've been to other Brums in Kansas & they were clean & chicken foods & salad much better & fresh not wilted brown rust romaine & lettuce. Ya don't want to pay to just have to pitch order bc you fear...

Extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service at this location. I love Braums and since I live in NM it is a treat for me when I am in TX or OK. Now granted we did arrive late 10:10 to be exact and I know the store closes at 1045 and I also know that after a long day of working you want to go home relax and not deal with people. However.....constantly telling me that you close in 20 min and that I had better hurry and order or its being locked down is EXTREMELY rude. The heavy set gentalman at the California Street location in Gainesville made it a point to stare at us and inform us he was closing and he didn't care what we did as long as it was before he locked his registers down and we needed to hurry and do it. The other gentalman (skinny short red hair) kindly said you have time to order ice cream( since I had asked about it) but paced around the store standing by the door looking at the time and then sat at a table by us and just stared at us. And again the heavy set man, said 'we close in 10, you can leave through that door and stood there as I was finishing my hamburger....I get it your tired...but as a business owner if my employees treated customers like this they would be in the unemployment line. If it wasn't for my love of the place and the good food , I probably would have went...

We don't have any Braums near our home so we always want to stop at one while traveling through Oklahoma. The burgers are great and getting 2 scoops of their delicious flavors for only 1.99 makes it well worth stopping.

I tried the Mushroom Swiss Burger this time. It was good, but the savory gravy on the mushrooms overpowered the rest of the burger flavors. I'll go back to a regular burger next time.

They had a bunch of Christmas ice cream flavors this time. I got the egg nog on top of the gingerbread. Both were tasty but got old by the time I hit the half of each scoop. Next time I'll go back to regular chocolate and/or peanut butter. Jan 2020

I had the Raspberry Ganache and Pecan Praline ice creams this time. Both were great.

The Raspberry Ganache was a very rich chocolate with a not too subtle hint of raspberry. It had just the right amount of raspberry - not too much to overpower the great chocolate but enough to make it special.

The Pecan Praline had a good Praline flavor with some pieces of Praline and...
