Now, I consider myself a pizza connoisseur, having indulged in slices from both New York and Chicago. But let me tell you, nothing compared to J&Js. Whenever friends or family visited, I'd always take them straight to J&Js for a taste of pizza heaven. And those nights spent hanging out with friends on the Denton square? Yup, you guessed it - J&Js was our go-to spot.
So, imagine my despair when one of the owners passed away & they closed. I thought that was it. Farewell to my beloved pizza heaven. But guess what? Just when I was losing hope, the remaining owner had a brilliant idea. They decided to open a brand new restaurant, keeping the soul of J&Js alive right here in Gainesville. Talk about a glimmer of hope!
After what felt like forever, the wait was finally over. On November 16th, Saint Joe's Pizza swung open its doors, and the buzz was unreal. People were flooding the local groups with pictures and posts, celebrating the grand reopening and bragging about this iconic pizza joint.
I couldn't contain my excitement any longer, so I rushed to Saint Joe's Pizza to get my fix. And you know what? That first bite... pure bliss. It was like stepping back in time, experiencing the same exquisite flavor and quality that made me fall in love with J&Js in the first place.
Guys, seriously, if you haven't checked out Saint Joe's Pizza yet, you are missing out BIG time. This place is the real deal. Trust me, you won't be...
Read moreDriving through downtown Gainesville and St. Joes caught my attention so we decided to stop and eat and I'll thank the lord everyday for the rest of my life that we did I had the Italian beef sandwich now I consider myself somewhat of an Italian beef sandwich connoisseur however I am also very picky I would say that most places sandwiches are subpar at best but after walking in and seeing the food on other people's tables I figured I'd give it a chance as it seemed as tho St. Joe and his amazing staff seemed to know what they were doing back there in the kitchen I would have to give the Italian beef sandwich a sweet baby Jesus out of 10 the meat was sliced thin and to perfection the au jus was amazing and the sandwich was accompanied by a little cup of what I'll just call heaven some sort of random vegetable and oil concoction that I've never seen before and absolutely put the sandwich over the top I would happily cut off and trade a finger for one of these sandwiches if I didn't have any money thankfully I'm gainfully employed and can afford said sandwich so with that being said I will be back to St. Joes and as much as I would like to try some of the other menu items I don't know that I'll be able to bring myself to order...
Read moreInconsistent pizzas. Prejudice and bad attitude blonde girl at the bar who gets overwhelmed on a basic Friday night at a pizza spot in a small town. Paid $60 for two wrong pizzas and when I told her what I ordered she attempted to argue back and tell me what I said before I even finished my sentence, I’m pregnant and I know FOR A FACT I ordered white sauce because red sauce is too acidic for me rn. They said it’ll be ready in 20 mins and when I arrived it sat in the back getting cold while she helped everyone but me. I ordered food at 6:27 and walked out the door at 7:13. Another lady had to step in, bring my order out and tell her to ring my order up. This is a completely different veggie pizza than the one I got when I ordered it a couple weeks ago and the second pizza was suppose to be white sauce. It’s like they just threw anything together this time. I’ve been here multiple times and it’s a shame how one person and inconsistencies can ruin the...
