The selection at Goodies is simply outstanding. They offer a wide variety of cured meats, including salami, prosciutto, and deli meats, local wines, as well as an impressive array of cheeses, from tangy blues to creamy bries. During the warmer months they've even added a courtyard, and will soon be rolling out wood-fired pizzas! (I can't wait)
Overall, I cannot recommend Goodies on Board highly enough. Whether you're a true connoisseur of charcuterie or simply appreciate great food, you're sure to be impressed by the outstanding selection, quality, and service at this wonderful...
Read moreWhat a fantastic surprise! My husband & I were wowed by our dinner experience at Goodies. We opted to eat outside & loved the relaxed atmosphere they’ve created with the string lights, etc… I ordered a dinner salad & the tomato soup & both were amazing. My husband had the crusted sirloin & said it was one of the best steaks he’s ever had—cooked perfectly! We noticed several tables near us ordered the bananas foster which is made table-side & comes with a little history lesson about the popular dessert. We were too full to indulge but decided it gives us a great reason to come back. We even noticed one couple came in just for coffee & the special dessert.. We left so pleasantly surprised this place exists just off the square in Gainesville. No longer do we need to drive 45+ minutes for a nice meal, Thank...
Read moreVery nice place close to downtown. Attractive & relaxing inside. Nice food selection. The food itself was average compared to the DFW area. Fried potato tasted like Crisco oil & the grill insread of fried in butter on a clean grill, left a bad taste. The shrimp & grits had a good flavor, only slightly too salty for my taste. Avocado burger, only a tablespoon of avocado instead of covering with slices. The meat did not have much taste all though a generous portion. They did not have Sweet & Low as a sweerner for the tea, so I stuck to water. Wine bottles in the back, but none listed on the menu. Music was nice, waitress pleasent. For the $$ we found this place lacking. It has great potential, but it is not there yet. I did not find the Google rating as high as was listed, more...
