I went to Chicken salad Chick and ordered two large potato soups. Upon arriving home the soup tasted extremely old possibly burned from the bottom of the pot. I enjoy the potato soup often from the Gainesville Florida location. Today it was different, so when I called to inquire, I was treated as a problem for asking questions. I called to inquire very respectfully about how long the soup is generally out for and or if it is stored until the next day. After I spoke to the person who answered the phone regarding my question ( who had no idea) The phone was forwarded to The manager .."Clay". Clay, spoke very condescendingly toward me since I was inquiring. He then continued to give me the run around and divert my question and walk me around the bush.. as to how long it is out. I informed him I'm not looking for free soup.. I'm just inquiring whether or not it is actually FRESH today... I eat it often and it tastes oddly off. OLD! He proceeded to tell me "As I already said" finally mentioned to me the soup is out for roughly 6 hours or UNTIL ITS GONE.. No Sir, That was the first time you told me it is out roughly 6 hours.. or we would not still be conversing, Thank you!! He hung up. When calling the number back to ask for the manager's name, I was sent to voicemail multiple times. Then when answered another employee answered a young lady claims she's the manager and wanted me to explain the situation againn for a third time. It's too much! THE SOUP IS OLD and the manager is lacking basic customer service skills. Very unprofessional. Very disappointed! This staff...
Read moreService is slow, as usual. I always do pick up for counter service and I have always waited annnnd I'm the only person in line. Food is good, it's chicken salad, c'mon. But the wait sucks.
I have never not waited. The double negative is utilized to help fully describe the not positive energy I feel when I have to wait to pay for the items I want to purchase and I'm the only person at the counter. I see them through the large rectangular window working on other orders. I smile and wave. They immediately look down and get back to doing something. Social anxiety maybe? Perhaps. I put my items down on the counter and walk to the other side of the building. Two tables, total of 4 people. No server or employee in sight except for the two behind the rectangular kitchen window. I go back to the items I want to purchase (2 originals, 1 broccoli salad, cookie). Look back at the kitchen, they're gone now. Look at the front door. Contemplate how easy it is to walk out the door. Leave cash on the counter and take these items and go. As I'm mentally estimating how much these items cost with tax, someone finally walks out of the kitchen and greets me. I pay, leave, as I get in the car, my waiting partner asks if I had to catch and pluck the...
Read moreFirst time visit today. It will not be the last! Nice change of pace and place for a bite to eat. A healthier bite to eat. I forgot to take pics of the food cause we were starving...and the wait was over 20 minutes to have our food brought out. Long wait for sure, for a quick eatery. Hubby had the chicken dumpling soup and liked it a lot. I had the Fancy Nancy on a crossiant with a side of broccoli salad. First of all.. I could live off the broccoli..my goodness is it ever good! The chicken salad flavor didn't stand out against the crossiant to me... And there was a ton of leaf lettuce on the sandwich..and tomatoes.. When you ate just the chicken you got the simple and delicious flavors. So..next time I will work with a scoop and the crackers so I can enjoy it more. The cookies were a nice and tasty surprise. Very good too. The atmosphere is homey, all the way to the tablecloths and little shelves with home decor on them. Bathrooms were super clean and spacious. The staff was very mindful, helpful and did their jobs well. Def a go back and explore more of the menu...
