David's BBQ & Catering East — Restaurant in Gainesville

Dave's BBQ is a quaint little small barbecue place. Located in Gainesville Florida it has some good barbecue. I ordered a sausage biscuit with a toast substitution in lieu of the biscuit. However I did observe the quality of the biscuits prior to my order. The biscuits were golden brown light and fluffy ,perfectly cooked, tender and Flaky. The patty was a large sausage patty, juicy and flavorful, perfectly cook and golden brown. The customer service was excellent! Update: Tues.March15,2022- Went to David's barbecue when I logged in the girl at the front counter Lilah greeted me with a smile "Welcomes to Dave's" I was l deciding what to get when Lilah suggested "the special" which was a barbecue pork sandwich and then she told me the price. I bought the sandwich, and added a side of beans.The sandwich was excellent, the bake beans were good,🔥 flavorful as usual! Bobby and his David’s barbecue and catering team absolutely made our wedding a masterpiece. Bobby is a master of his craft and was tremendously helpful with ideas, options, first class service! He is creative, thoughtful, professional, but somehow at our wedding he and his crew were invisible but Then suddenly a hand would appear with a plate, glass or assistance as if they were magicians. Immediately following the service as soon as my bride and I exited the courtyard and onto the landing, one of the caterers appeared holding two glasses of water and a small plate of hors d’oeuvres with a congratulatory statement. Bobby also coordinated with our cake delivery personnel, and another supplier providing display racks. These folks think of everything! Bobby came to me part of the way through the reception with a nudge to collect the wedding gifts from the bird cage he provided for envelope drop off and escorted me out to collect it, and they loaded the extra drink supplies and a vehicle for us. He and his crew are top-notch and I recommend them 100%...

I had never been to David's before. I walked in. Already busy not a lot of seating. Trying to find a place to sit . moved around twice ourselves. Because we didn't know to order first then go to your table. They will call your name out when your foods ready if they have time they will bring it to you. After we sat there awhile we figured it out. Food was good but tables were all dirty from people getting up and next person trying to get a place to sit. After it slowed down for just a few minutes then a lady came out and cleaned tables that were empty not many. And she got us another roll of paper towels for our table. The young lady at the register. Was very nice I told her first time here. She explained the menu to me and said my pleasure after. Each time is tell her something or ask a question and said thank you. Very nice. Food took a little bit but it's cooked to order. So it was hot at least.
