In short: I've been a loyal fan of Chick-fil-A for years, but this particular location consistently disappoints. Today was the last straw. I ordered through the app for a simple sandwich and side salad, only to be told at the drive-thru window that my food needed to be cooked and I should park and wait with hazard lights on. After an absurd 15-minute wait, I went inside to find out my order had been ready and waiting the whole time. The staff seemed clueless and disorganized, which sadly isn't new here. While the food's good, the service is consistently awful. Giving it 2 stars feels generous.
Extended if you want more details: While a long-time fan of CFA, anyone has to admit there are a few bad apples in the batch. I'm not referring to ONE issue, but some stores consistently fail to live up to the CFA standard. This location is one of those failures. Six months ago, I started a new job in Gainesville. My first day on the job included a breakfast from CFA. During that breakfast, several in the office commented about the poor CFA service. I was surprised and even defended them. However, since that time, I not only understand their disapproval but join them. My visits became fewer and fewer to where it's been over a month since my last visit. Today, I was reminded why. The straw that made this my last visit was a DRIVE-THRU visit for a CFA sandwich and side salad. I ordered on the app, and made my way around to the window. From there, I was told it needed to be cooked and that I should "pull around to the front and turn on my hazard lights" so they can find me when they bring out the food. I did ... and waited ... and waited ... and waited. Fifteen minutes later, I go inside to check. One person confirmed my order and said it was a special order that had to be cooked. I reminded this highly educated individual that it doesn't take 15 minutes for a piece of chicken to fry. Then another said she remembered the order and it's been "long done". The one telling me to pull around to the front told everyone he did as much. All these brainiacs looked at each other with the expression of chickens in a coop (to leverage the pun). It was at this point another customer, AND NOT AN EMPLOYEE, who noticed and pointed to me the meal was sitting there, behind me, on the carryout stand. It's waiting there ... inside ... while I'm told to wait for my meal ... outside. As an isolated incident, I could say mistakes happen. But this is just one of many, many examples of just how terrible the service is at this location. It gets four stars for the food and zero for the service, thus my 2-star review. Drive to another CFA and save yourself the...
Read moreI go to this chick fil a every morning on my way to work. A few weeks ago I had an interaction with a cashier. I ordered an original ice coffee. I took it back up and asked for more cane syrup ecause it didn't taste sweet. Her and another employee looked at each other smirking and making a face. I asked what was so funny? Didn't think anything was funny? I just asked for more syrup. That was all that happened and I haven't seen her since then. I go through the drive through this morning and she's the person taking my order. She was extremely rude to me. She just stood there when I pulled up and I'm like are you going take my order not realizing it was the girl from previous time. By the way, she was acting and she was typing my order I realized who she was. She was typing super slow and I could tell she wasn't putting my order in right .And I even asked her if my order was going to be right. She was very rude. When it was time to pay I was trying to pay with my phone and she wouldn't push whatever button she needed to on her end so I could pay and she kept telling me it was my phone. She was clearly doing this on purpose. Telling me it was my phone. I kept showing her it wasn't my phone and that I knew she was doing it by not pressing what she needed to on her screen. As soon as I get up towards the window, an employee comes walking towards me because they clearly seen my order was messed up. Keep in mind this is all because I asked for some more syrup on a previous visit. She is obviously revengeful and petty and this is not a person I trust making my food or drinks goin forward. Now I have to constantly worry about getting her as a cashier and going through this when I visit. Her vest and her hair was covering up her name tag. She knew I was trying to read her name. The name on my receipt is YARITZA. I spoke with a manager at the window and she clearly knows of the situation. It's just sad this happened over asking for Syrup. I interact with employees almost every day and no one has ever acted this way towards me? I've never had an issue. To play with someone's food is not ok. If I have to worry about that being a problem, I will not return to...
Read moreAfter waiting 20+ minutes in a line that was wrapped around the entire restaurant and even had a few cars lined up on the road waiting to get into the parking lot, I ordered 2 #1 (chicken biscuit & hash browns) and I was in a bit of a rush so I got to the drive thru window and paid and the girl even confirmed my order for a 2nd time as she handed me the 2 cokes that come with the #1 value meal, then handed me the bag of food and I was on my way finally! But when I got home and my daughter started taking our food out of the bag she asked if I had already eaten my breakfast on the drive home and I realized that after leaving work after a tiring 13 hour shift and waiting in that line for 20+ minutes for breakfast and just wanting to eat and crash in bed before having to start another long shift in a few hours, I was hungry but too tired to drive the 13 miles back to the restaurant to sit in that line again for the breakfast that I had already paid for an hour earlier. I'm not the dramatic lady who goes nuts on all of the employees over a mistake, but this is very frustrating and I don't understand how the lady in the drive thru repeated my order back to me twice only to not even give me the food and also asked me twice if I wanted any sauce and I told her yes, ketchup TWICE! But I didn't get any, nor did I get not 1 napkin🤷🏻 I asked for a few napkins and she replied with "Yes ma'am, they are in the bag with your straws"... There were no straws in the...
