CAVA — Restaurant in Gaithersburg

I've been to this place enough time that I got the app and spent well over $1000. I've learned to order pickup is best if you can't be there by quarter after noon. Since the place is so busy the staffs can be a little stressed hence rudeness; I've had a couple experiences that you just have to shake your head and laugh it off. One was about the sauce/dressing. If it's separate it's in tiny tiny cup that barely covers 5-6 forkfuls. So it's best if you like good dressing coverage to have it on. They've always squirt the dressing on when ordering online. One day the dressings were all separated naturally it's out of the norm so I politely asked for more explaining that it wasn't enough coverage when it's separated. The extra charge for additional dressing came up and there was not any condiment price postings. The tall African lady yelled aloud "what do you want me to do?" with both arms raised up and down. At first I was thinking why is she yelling at me for? I've paid for my food and asked for it done right. She settled by opening up all those orders squirted sauce/dressing on. I concluded that Cava is a great alternative to the mainstream meal. And yes the roasted veggies are a bit charred. And the lamp meatballs have shrunken half the size over time. And rudeness is present at it's best probably since their since they're all mixed races. If you ever travel internationally you probably seen customer service could be quite different. But Cava have got to put their staff through a customer "friendly" training program and stress management. In most cases I'd stopped going back but in this case I understand the level of stress raised due to the long line of customers that the staffing is broken down. I ordered on Uber Eats and my order was missing everything except the chicken. So I contacted Cava and spoke to Matt who told me they would take care of it and he'd write down my name in case he wasn't there. I went yesterday and got my bowl, however there was no note that they could find. The nice lady manager on shift still heard me out and honored what I was promised when I told her what happened. So all in all they made a mistake with my bowl but they made up for it by handling the situation without hassle. This is the reason I enjoy this location and go often because they always make things right if they see a mistake was made. That is one of the other reasons I love Cava besides the food at this location. Management is great there and they were all very nice and respectful of me and my situation. Highly recommend checking them out if you haven't and their oatmilk milkshakes are tasty as well 🔥

I had an incredible experience at the CAVA in Kentlands, and it’s all thanks to Jose, the store manager.
