Best in town. Biggest collection of beer and wine in the area. Well arranged wine racks makes finding your favorite bottle swift and easy. But the biggest attractions are the events. Trivia on Wednesday and Friday night live are my personal favorites. Bartenders are very friendly, and you will find the owner right among the bartenders who will promptly deliver you a fine fun packed bar experience.
24 taps! to choose from and most of it are periodically rotated according to the seasonal fashion. But if youâre an IPA person this is the best spot for you. There are no bars in about 25mi radius that offers that many IPA verities on tap.All day Happy hour on Sundays are a nice treat.
This place is Dog friendly, you are welcome to bring food of your own choice which is very rare these days.
Toilets are clean and well kept. Ample parking space at Kentlands.
Customers crowd is awesome. Such major social space on weekend nights. Wait for the weekends Pete Looney, Billy Herrington and Greg Edmondson are Playing, where you will see the best crowds. Billy is my personal favorite followed by Pete and Greg.
Wish that they would consider in-house food options in the future. If there was an outdoor focused event during summer days.
Hidden Gem: chill Sunday afternoon ( summer ) take outdoor table with few friends to share stories while getting tipsy on happy hour beers. (Winter ) indoors with...
Read moreGrape Escape Kentlands is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted with a warm, inviting ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The wine selection is nothing short of amazing, and the beer selection is one of the best in all of MD with a carefully curated variety to satisfy both seasoned wine enthusiasts and casual beer dabblers alike.
Anita and the rest of the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, offering expert recommendations that always seem to hit the mark. Whether you're there to pick up a bottle for a special occasion or enjoy a relaxed evening with friends, they go above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience will be had.
What truly sets Grape Escape apart is their commitment to creating a community atmosphere, too. Their events, live music, tastings, and personalized service make it clear that this is more than just a wine shop â itâs a destination for connection and enjoyment.
Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind, discover new favorites, and enjoy top-notch hospitality. Cheers to Grape Escape Kentlands for doing everything so...
Read moreRecently moved from VA to MD; I don't normally purchase beer from places other than grocery stores, but MD laws forced me to change that. I still don't know and can't imagine a reason for that law, but I'm happy for it if none other than it forced me to check out the Grape Escape. I was awed with their selection of local brews, and learned later that the staff hand-selects them after sampling each one. (Yes, VA has shops like these too but I tried and didn't bother going to these since where I lived, parking was a nightmare near these shops). I've asked the staff a few times for recommendations, and they seem very knowledgeable and eager to help. I especially like that most of their selection is of the kind you wouldn't normally find in the big stores. I also like that they have many of the brews on tap so you can sample them first. I visited other beer/wine stores in the immediate area, but none compare to Grape Escape. It's location next to the Giant grocery store makes it very convenient, and there is ample parking. Would...
