Irenes Pupusas — Restaurant in Gaithersburg

The pupusas were very good. $3 each. I had the mixtas and they were stuffed perfectly. My picky kids had cheese and they ate all of it. And my husband had the baliadas which he liked and the portion was very generous. Service was good. The lady taking the orders missed my order completely even after she repeated it back to me and never came back to check on us after bringing the food out and was trying to go back and forth with me when it was time to pay the bill. I tried this place out for the first time a month ago , the pupusas were AMAZING. Also the scenery is very nice as well. But reason why I give it a 4star and not 5 is because I had ordered again & my horchata tasted very sour!!!! It was really gross , also the pupusas weren’t all that great which was a shock!!!!! I’m not sure if there’s different cooks but for horchata to be sour...

Wow, so far I have only tried the pupusas and horchata, but they were amazing. It was a good size and filled pretty good! The curtido and salsa complimented the pupusas perfectly. I wish I would have taken a picture of the pupusas but we inhaled them. Can't wait to go back and try more food!
