Okey Poke — Restaurant in Gaithersburg

I really hope this place strives. This is the only poke place near Montgomery village. Then, there's one in rio. They offer 2$ off 15 I decided not to do that on my current visit. While I was eating and I asked them if they had a tip jar. They said no. I said really? They looked at each other like they didn't know what tip jar is. I asked them for a change of 5$ I tipped them. They said thank you. I said no problem. They are essential workers as well. I have to tip them. They offered if I wanted a cup of water. I said sure. It was spicy lol. I gave them 4 stars because 1 staff were only wearing 1 glove not both and the other wasn't wearing any. They were friendly though. The food is fresh. I like their marinated salmon and tuna. I really recommend this place. I moved to this area recently and tried their poke. Impressed by the freshness of the raw fish and a variety of toppings (all the radish and vegetable toppings!). Especially, I would like to mention their crunchy garlic and tempura toppings! I’ve tasted many poke bowls in DC and Arlington area, but i didn’t know these toppings can be this crunchy! Well done! Moreover, their marinated raw fish doesn’t have an overpowering sauce (which is usually the case with marinated ones). So when you add some sauces of your choice at the end, it doesn’t end up being too salty! So I could taste the raw fish marinated at just right level! First off I love the name!!! Okey Poke is in a good location for easy access.

We were for sure excited to try this Poke spot out. The food was fresh and everything tasted delicious.

I got the salmon tuna combo with sushi rice, lettuce, radish, jalapeño, pickled onions, sesame seed, honey Wasabi, mango, and Sriracha.

I do wish they had bigger serving sizes and a couple more options for food. None of that took away from the overall taste though.

If you're in the area, stop by. I believe the value your getting is very good.
